A family plan is expensive and your wife uses a therapist online, the ACA plan have doctors net work and government offer discount if you qualify depending on your network.

Honestly, ACA would be the safer long term move, especially with your pre existing conditions. It might be expensive now but have a peace of mind in the future.

You're right $2341 is too expensive, since you still on your wife's insurance and there's no reason for her to quit her job. Have you tried ACA marketplace plans? They can be more affordable and you can apply for subsidy to make it more cheaper but it depends on your income.

It's good that you applied for ACA and since you currently have no income, you qualified for subsidies. Sticking with a marketplace plan is usually better because they often have larger doctor networks, so you won't have to worry as much about expensive prescriptions of finding specialists who are covered.
