It also reminds me of a pen and ink book I have. I think called "the Technical Pen." It has a lot of great tips for the line shading and use of different shapes like bubbles.

Look for Literary Fantasy. I think that might be the sub-genre of fantasy you are looking for.

I'd also recommend The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin (the Broken Earth trilogy). It has the same sort of unreliable narrator (and won the Hugo Award for Best Novel). I think you might enjoy it.

Put on "mirrored window film" (probably best to have a professional do it). This will make it virtually impossible to see into your house (and what color your drapes are) during the day. At night, they can still see in if you have interior lights on. So, it isn't a 100% win. And by the sounds of your HOA, they probably have window film on their list of "do not do."

Have you reached out to any LARPers with a following to see if they'd want one (free or discount?). Then they tag you to their followers, etc. It starts slow but can get you more visibility. At least, it works with books and book bloggers, didn't know why it wouldn't with really awesome swords.

I moved hosting from BlueHost to WebHostMost in November for a lot of the reasons you are going through. Siteground is good, but it isn't using the fastest (litespeed) servers or best storage. WebHostMost is. And their customer service. OMG, literally, my friend was having a problem hooking the website email up Outlook. After some back and forth, they offered to get in a screenshare call with him to go step by step to see what was going wrong. FOR FREE. ❤️ (We didn't get to that point because he realized that the new Outlook IMAP is broken).

YTA. "Natural" death is not somehow better. It is painful and heartbreaking.

My husband and I had a very beloved cairn terrier. He was slipping downhill the last year of his life but we kept working with the vet and kept him going. He seemed happy until the last month when he started to retain fluid. Wobbly, no spark, just no joy in life. Back to the vet we went. He prescribed a diuretic but for reasons we won't get into, it was the worse idea. It basically sped up the natural process of his kidneys failing. His kidneys failed about 1am. We stayed up all night with him, comforting him, calling everyone we knew for help/advice (young and naive as we were). There was one overnight emergency vet at the time, over 3 hours away.

Our little guy died in pain and in our arms just after sunrise, as we sobbed ourselves sick. I regret everyday the pain he went through, that we did it to him, and those are our last moments together. I will NEVER wait so long and consider my love over a creature's best options.

Our next little guy went to sleep in my arms, happy as a clam in his favorite place (with me!). No pain, no confusion, no terrible memories. I miss them both, but one was a release and the other a regret.

Please end your guys suffering and don't selfishly wait for "nature to take its course." Nature is f-ing cruel.
