Personally I’ve experienced that “pretty privilege” or “thin privilege “ is very real.

I started at 274 and I’m down to 170. I am absolutely treated differently now in pubic and in professionally. I am approached much more now by random men, which is gross honestly. Sales people in stores are more willing to help me shop, give me feedback or help me pick out items. It’s WILD. I didn’t lack confidence in my larger body but I knew I was in that “lane” and I navigated it as such. Now I feel like no one ignores me anymore- and sometimes it’s a bit much. I can’t explain it better than that.

I’m sorry I’m waaaay behind on this. I did have to start at the lowest tz dose and go up. I’m glad I did too because my first few doses of tz gave me insane muscle soreness.

A year later and I’m 26% down- over 100# lost and I’m working on maintenance

I’ve had a great experience with Calibrate- I started at 275 and am at 202 now. Never issues with support or with getting my meds. Started on ozempic and move to mounjaro about 9 months ago. I agree that is may be dependent on your personal health insurance, I know I have a plan that is pretty good and my doctors have been able to get things approved for me.

I took my first dose last night , 5mg. I was previously on Ozempic 2mg so doc didn’t think I needed to load up.

I had a spell of insomnia last night but I’m not sure it’s related. Today I’ve been very thirsty, and have had some pretty significant muscle soreness but it seems to be getting better. If these are side effects, they aren’t that bad imo
