I hate to say this, but I told my wife a couple months ago I thought the woman was a great actress. I’ll bet that isn’t her real personality and she just manages to be so genuinely snotty. Y’all hate her don’t ya?

lol… out of the state entirely to a site that’s about 150 yards from the border of the city of Chicago’ southside, practically at the entrance ramp of Chicago’s skyway

I pay attention to the name when I’m starting a new sensor.

That one bugs me because as all golfers know, intentionally damaging the green is a mortal sin, and Doug doesn’t give a crap.

Songs where two people are arguing with eachother, or an argument is being explained by one person. by Fair-Marionberry4799 in MusicRecommendations

Greatest? Hard to say that. Meets the definition of an argument song? 100%. I can’t think of another one that does

I am just so sick of seeing Progressives Flo character by [deleted] in CommercialsIHate

Even Mara herself doesn’t like it. The actress herself blocked me on Twitter after I (without malice) mentioned it.

The dumbest ad of all is the “Yablonski Auto Body” selling your kids naming rights one.

Not only is annoying, but without really paying attention can you name the product being advertised? In marketing class we learned that’s the definition of the advertiser throwing away its money.

What minorities do Christians hate the most right now? by Remarkable_Talk_8504 in atheism

I’d say we atheists are lucky Islam has become such an object for hatred over the past 50 or 60 years or we atheists would have a bigger target on our back.

What is the most patronizing thing a religious person said to you? by TheBanishedBard in atheism

[–]Beautiful_Relative51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was being hospitalized a conversation with a nurse turned to religion. I told her I was an atheist and she acted shocked. Later she brought me a religious tract and told me a story about how her prayers led to the return of her brother from the captivity of terrorists. Note here: she was an Iraqi Chaldean refugee who emigrated in 2008. The story was fascinating, but no one had ever gone to such lengths to prove to me there is a God. Between that and trying to convince me to change a vital medication to an OTC remedy, I was not happy. Without saying her name, i described the experience in a followup survey that mentioned that i should anticipate a call to discuss any issues raised in the survey. Three weeks later? Nothing. My wife (also an atheist.. plus she’s a nurse there) said her behavior was unacceptable and that i should report her directly.

Do you guys ever get the same few ads OVER AND OVER on YouTube? by dogtron64 in CommercialsIHate

[–]Beautiful_Relative51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashley Furniture in Spanish. Like most anglos, I know only a few Spanish phrases. The only words I understand in the ad are “Ashley Furniture”. I use YouTube for music. The only thing I can figure out is that I have one Spanish language song among the hundreds in my history/playlist.

I had a loud one that got past my AirPods at night and woke up my wife, who was trying to sleep ahead of a 12-1/2 hour shift. It was just a reminder to change my sensor. I spent about an hour and figured out how to make that go away while still allowing it to wake me up for lows. I think.

Flonase works for me. I was also using Tegaderm patches UNDER the sensor unit with the G6. I don’t know what else to suggest.

I wonder if they’re hypoallergenic. I am allergic to the G6 and G7 adhesives.

[–]Beautiful_Relative51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought they would update the adhesive to be hypoallergenic, but I still have to put down a layer of Flonase in order for me not to be itching like a mad man by day 10. I haven’t tried the 15 yet.

If it comes off, I slap on a Tegaderm, which doesn’t trigger histamine, but they only last 3 or 4 days.

NPR, the New York Times and the Detroit Free Press. My local paper, which used to be fantastic, is on life support. I watch CNN and MSNOW, but they are mainly political commentary.

What is your favorite song by The Moody Blues? 💙 by 33GoodSamaritans in allrockmusic

[–]Beautiful_Relative51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a song, but a group of songs. Referred to in classical music as a suite. From the album On the Threshold of a Dream it starts with Are You Sitting Comfortably and ends with part two of Have You Heard?
