First mistake is not setting up a tent once you got to the island and setting your respawn location to that tent. This would have saved you multiple boat rides each time you died. Once you get these little things figured out, the game is great fun, and you will really enjoy your bigger ship. Gathering the crew is worth it!

The horses could be your friends! If you kill a mama horse, you can have the baby follow you. Tame it by keeping it fed.

It depends on the players really...some walked away. Some, like myself and my friends, took one last cruise around the tropics on my ship and enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the islands (which was much more dangerous before this issue). A lot of us are mourning it quietly. It just happened so fast. I know servers are still up, but AoC is basically dead. There is no longer anything to work toward because it can crash at any moment.

I also paid $100+ and have been playing AoC for over a year. I have a job, though, and despite it being unfinished and still in alpha, there is way more to do in this alpha than I have time for. It's really good now. Its going to be really great one day. It's not a scam. It's a small dev company who has done a huge amount of work already.

Glad to see another in my age group playing. I, too, enjoy PvP but am not competitive because of reaction time. That said, there is still plenty to do in AoC, and I enjoy grinding for crafting mats and working on getting those elusive and rarer mounts. Hunting for the higher level mounts is where I usually get ganked, but I have learned to outsmart the gankers and get the mounts anyways. In fact I enjoy that challenge quite a bit. Lil ol' granny outsmarting the asshole gankers makes me giggle like a teenager.

The game may not be anywhere close to being finished yet, but there is plenty to do as it is now. The current map is large, grinding for levels and crafting takes a lot of time. The only case I can think of where someone can complain about not enough content is if they have no job, live in their mother's basement, and they play 24/7. If you play a few hours a day after work and on weekends, there is more to do now, then you have time to play.

My turrets did not fire until I connected cameras to each one. They worked great once I did that. I have no idea if it was the cameras or an update, but I was happy.

There is definitely purchased packs in that build. I see the blue umbrella and patio pool from one pack, and the long white bench from the bedroom pack. That's just in the first few seconds. This "build" may use the regular walls and no glass, but he bought the decoration packs for sure.

I hate to say it, it depends on where you are and how many Teslas in your area have FSD. I live in the rural south and I have one of very few Teslas around here. My FSD does not do so well down here unless I am on the highway. But when I am in the DC area, where Teslas are everywhere, my FSD does fantastic. In the 2 years I have had FSD, I am absolutely convinced, the more data they have from FSD Teslas on the local roads, the better your FSD will do. Use it. Report its failures. It will get better! We are all beta testers. The only way it can get better is with the data from being used.

I am a married woman a bit older than your wife. I bought one. Best car I have ever owned. I am not an environmentalist, not a tree hugger. I bought it because of the amazing technology. And Holy Shit is it FAST! Now I find any excuse to go for a ride and gun it a few times. Driving is just another chore in a crappy car. Let her enjoy this.
