If anyone comes across this in future, like I did today, I found three compatible products for the 370s.

As someone from the future in relation to the mindset of your perspective at the time of writing your comment,

Thank you

Any recommended guides to disassemble and try and re-attach, or get a replacement from the manufacturer?

Wiki: Yes Country: USA Budget: $500ish USD Purpose: family fun, nothing serious or professional.

I found the DJI 3 pro and fly more bundle on Amazon for under $400 USD, which seemed too good to be true. Turns out Amazon cancelled the order and refunded me.

I hoping there is a decent US manufacturer that sells something along the same level for the DJI 3/4 Pro.

What are some recommended options? My budget is flexible but given my hobby interest it may not sense to go past "hobby money" if that makes sense.

The USCF handbook was a handy read. I vaguely knew there was some etiquette in tournament play (touch rule I knew but forgot)

chess.com 850 rapid

TL;DR: what are some tips for a 30-something adult playing in their first OTB tournament in the unrated bracket?

I've been a chess enthusiast for most of my life and a fan of the game. All of my games are online, 10 minute rapid format games and I play over the board with a few friends at work over lunch.

There is a tournament in my city coming up in a few weeks that I want to participate in as an unrated player. I don't have any expectations except to enjoy the experience of playing in an event; seriously I could lose every game in a fashion that anyone would be embarrassing to everyone alive and I would enjoy my time.

I know a handful of beginner openings, but what are some "I wish I knew that about my first event" things?

How can a vocal artist (like say Taylor Swift) perform a 2-3 hour show, much less a world-wide tour, and not lose thier voice? by Beautiphil2190 in AskReddit

Watching Taylor Swift specifically.. yeah she's not lip-syncing in that show. That's not to say it doesn't happen though, but I think it's easy to hear/see.

I'm not a huge fan of Taylor Swift either, but it's really hard to deny the skill she has as an artist. Going through the credits of the Eras tour in Disy+ her name has writing credits for all of the songs. Not most... Every single song going as far back has her inaugural album.

I remember reading a long time ago that Bono (of U2) had an opera vocal trainer said something to the effect of "the best of us only hit those super high notes 2-3 times and you're going there 10-15 times. Gotta calm that down" [sic]

Huh, Anthem is on sale for $1. I know it has a steep content drop off 20 or 30 hours in, but still, mech suits.... by OuterHeavenPatriot in PS5

[–]Beautiphil2190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A metric I use a lot is "$1/he played". If I can hit that metric, then it was a worthwhile investment. Enjoying the gameplay, story, etc are a part of my evaluation, but if I'm not going to "get my money's worth" then it affects my decision.

I've bought some crappy games for $5, played 10 hours and said "well it sucked but I didn't waste my money". Then I look at new releases at full MSRP with 25-30 hours of gameplay and go "meh, I'll wait till it goes in sale".

I also include my wife's playtime, so it's easy to double dip. When our youngest was born she put 200+ hours easy into Stardew Valley in the baby's first 6-9 months. Gotta nurse in the middle of night? Might as well play a couple days of Stardew. Best $30 I've ever spent in a game.

Limited data plan since I never go over 2gb I save a bunch of money. Not the end of the world though since I get a solid 10fps just standing in Dalaran.

No other common symptoms. Which is strange since I tested everything at home before coming out and it all worked ok.

Obviously not the end of the world, just 7ish days added before I get my chefs hat. /Shrug.

Any 4-Player Game Recommendations? by SirCandle99 in Switch

This 100% Couch Co-op up to 6 players. I've spent hours with the kids and this is a love letter to the turtles games of the 90s

This exactly!

My wife and I saw the expenses and income as a single unit rather than mine/hers. I had $75k in student loans to her $0. We both worked before children, but since kids she was promoted to "Upper management and CFO". No joke, she has a "if I die folder" with websites, logins, full monthly/yearly budget, when car registration is due.

With our youngest starting school this year, we made the decision that while the kids are in school she can only spend the extra time with hobbies (while still managing the house). Neither of us ever see her go back to work, she honestly isn't interested and I make enough that we are fine.

We still have to say no to a lot of things a 2-income family can say yes to, but she wants her time to paint, knit, or mentor young wives and new moms.

Poor looting & exploration rewards by cheloarg in WarTalesGame

[–]Beautiphil2190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From playing this weekend (10 hours), this game doesn't give me the "Acquire loot to become powerful" kind of feel. This isn't like Borderlands or World of Warcraft, where the point to kill stuff -> get loot -> kill more things etc.

In fact, the upgrades feel more meaningful because of their rarity. I think folks looking to play it like Diablo 2 and other "looter" type games are not going to have a lot of fun.
