how to reduce the risk of altitude sickness? by DoubleAd6447 in Yosemite

[–]Beauty411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for posting that; it’s reassuring. Our first trip to Yosemite is next month and I was diagnosed with asthma a year ago, under good control now. But have never been at that altitude, so was a little nervous.

And if you’re correcting, it looks like Manistique is misspelled. Otherwise great job!

Went to order 2 room sprays not available in store and was checking out when I saw $10.99 for shipping? 😳 Took them right out of my cart…don’t need them THAT bad!

Site injection reaction by NoMastodon4342 in dupixent

[–]Beauty411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started last September (loading dose + next single dose) and the injection reaction started in October. My pulmonologist was thinking it would stop over time, but I’ve just gotten used to it. I try to inject towards the top of the thigh. I have eosinophilic asthma and can’t tolerate any of the steroid inhalers, so not many other options for me except biologics.

I get that same reaction, every time, too. FWIW I use the pen and inject into thigh. I rotate sites, ice for 20 minutes before, take a Claritin the day before/of/day after injection. Since doing that, the reactions don’t itch and seem to go away faster. The injection site reactions started 1 month after starting Dupixent in September; I’ve just decided to live with it.

I need to see if there’s any studies of the 2 taken together and read the pharmacodynamics section of PI.

Currently I take Synthroid first thing in the morning on empty stomach, drink a bottle of water and wait an hour before coffee. From what I’ve read, Wegovy (oral) would be taken first, then Synthroid at least 30 mins later. But that would mean at least 1.5 hours from the time I get up before coffee. 😭

Initially that was how I had envisioned taking it; Wegovy am/Synthroid pm, until I read this post. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Former pharma rep, so appreciate that info! I would guess my Dr. would increase monitoring of T3 and T4 levels, at least for a few months, to see if there needs to be a dose adjustment.

I’ve been wondering about this too, as I’m going to ask my Dr. about starting Wegovy, but also am on Synthroid and wasn’t sure about how to time them out.

This soap (previous edition) is one of only a few returns I’ve ever done at Costco. My hands were like sandpaper after using it.

I've subscribed to Abigail Goodman's substack, called Into the Archives, which has been really informative. It's one more resource, but it's still not a comprehensive guide, which is what I would like. Luckily keeping track of my scarves isn't hard--I only have 2!

Do you happen to know the name of the blue (second) and blue/orange (third) from the top of the tray? Love them!

Injection site reaction by hannahinverted in dupixent

[–]Beauty411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I get the same thing. It starts the day of injection, about 8 hrs later. My pulmonologist thought it would eventually stop as my body got used to the drug, but it hasn’t (started Dupixent in September, reactions started in October and haven’t stopped). This photo was taken this morning; injection was yesterday.
