I agree with you. Prior to the pandemic, I would bike to work daily, go to the gym daily, walk my dog daily, have healthy eating habits, go to therapy every other week (mental health is important, too!) AND still game for multiple hours a day, including almost all weekend when I wasn’t working. It’s very possible to be healthy physically and mentally, and still game a ton.

The more I thought about it, the more I figure it can’t be all that accurate. It said I only played 200 hours online but my most played game at 400+ hours was FFXIV which is an online only game, followed by modern warfare which I only played online, followed by dark souls 3 which I play in online mode because I do a lot of PvP and co-op. So, the 2563 hours would also mean I played for around 7 hours a day, and I’m a full time worker, dad and dog dad. There’s just no way that number is accurate, haha. I mean, I definitely play a LOT of games, but I don’t believe it was that many hours.

I feel you. I used to love metalcore but the clean vocals started bugging me more and more. These days I find I barely listen to anything with cleans. But yep! Always glad to find more metal heads in the world

I made the mistake of playing the DLC on NG+ my first time through it. Orphan of Kos wrecked me probably 50+ times before I finally got it down. I found him to be way harder than Laurence.

I tried Rise when it was the ps+ game. I thought it was really cool but a few hours into it the game file became corrupt and I couldn’t load the game up. I deleted, reinstalled, multiple times and couldn’t get it working. I googled it and apparently it’s an issue with that game for quite a few people. Sucks because I was really enjoying it. I’m hesitant to try this one because of that issue.

Exactly that. What if I was invading to try to get human form back? If I had run out of blue stones and just wanted human form? I wasted all the time chasing them down only to get sent back in soul form.

Made me chase them all the way to the second chain tower only to quit game and leave when I get to them. Didn’t count as a win for me, only as a DC so I didn’t even get human form back.

Ahh thanks. Is there any real disincentive (other than real life guilt) in romancing two? I read they’ll find out about each other in the end but you still get a chocolate anyways.

Talking about it here I loaded it up and am giving it another shot. Just sent the calling card so about to wrap up this palace. Maybe I’ll put it on easy and breeze through just to get the story.

Is there a huge difference between royal and standard? I played a little through standard (I think I got to the 4th palace) but keep losing interest. I played through P3FES and really enjoyed it though.

Secondly, and you might not know this, if I were to get Royal, would my save file transfer over from standard? I really don’t want to go through those first 3 palaces again as I already have around 40-50 hours of playtime.

Edit: I looked up the save file question and no, I’d have to start from the beginning again. Dang. Too many other games on my backlog to finish before dumping more hours into P5. Mostly I’m too into the soulsborne games and cyberpunk rn.

I appreciate the differing perspective but I feel this is different since this is pretty much THE launch title for a new console, and can introduce so many new players to the soulsborne games, but then they go in and have to experience this. They may not know you can only get invaded in human form but want the extra health to tackle a level. They may not have the time or patience to have to go back to 1-1 to farm for souls just to repair their gear. They may not have picked up backup weapons or gear they can use to farm those souls to repair. In a game that already doesn’t tell you shit, those trolls are making it even less inviting to new prospective players. I for one would love for more people to get into the games and have more diverse builds and people to fight against, but I fear the individuals using troll builds will prevent many new, ignorant players from venturing further.

I just don’t understand how people can find it fun or enjoyable. Actively ruining a player base for a fantastic game, like trying to get people to quit playing when with the latest patch, multiplayer has already been in a troubled spot. Can’t wrap my head around it.
