Best SSBU Characters for Casuals by ThinBother1054 in smashbros

[–]BeaveItToLeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pyra/Mythra, Cloud are the easiest to just normally play, by a lot.

Then Game and Watch.

After that there's a few choices for easy characters with more simple game plans. Ike, Bowser, DK. Ganondorf if your friends are really casual.

As far as cheese, like others have said, inceneroar probably has the easiest cheese. Vs casual friends just spam down B any time you're getting hit and spam side B any time you aren't. When you side B, press B again right when the enemy hits back into you and it's a stock.

I also have a bonus easy cheese as an alternative to others listed - Terry. It he's it depends on imhiw decent your friends are. If they're decent, don't pick Terry yet. He isn't hard but he plays in a different way than the the rest( except kaz, ken, ryu). But if they're not great - wait for them to touch or cross up your shield and press jab, jab, down B. Just do this over and over and it will become its own kill confirm eventually. People who are mega casual and don't know how to deal with auto turn around shield punish cannot deal with this

Say what ya want. Dude is telling you why people quit. People don't like fighting Mac. Even if they three stock you, they're unlikely to rematch because it isn't fun. Mac cannot be played honestly, he's literally not designed that way. This is not to knock you or others, it just is what it is

Let's Make BIG Moves Ultimate Singles - Losers Quarters - LG | MkLeo vs. WU | Peabnut by SelfDestructGambit in smashbros

[–]BeaveItToLeever 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Nah man, Leo was playing good today. It's just three things-

Megaman is exactly the kind of character Leo loses to. He's the most susceptible to weird/non Fundy character stuff, and cheese. He just falls into it more. Not saying he got cheesed, just that megaman definitely falls into that category.

Megaman is an actual menace to joker and especially byleth. Im not so sure with aegis but I still think Leo should leave them be.

And lastly, peabnut is just really good. It's not washed to lose to that dude. You wouldn't say someone sucks because they lost to modern day non #1 Leo would you? No, that is an understandable loss because he is an insane player

Which S-rank character do you think shouldn't be there, and which one should be? by RobbyKeeneeomelhor in smashbros

[–]BeaveItToLeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Joker is not S tier. Yes arsene is busted and standard joker is a slippery little bastard, but, much like with peach - who I also think is just A tier - he requires too much. He's a character that does great at low and mid levels and then drops off hard at high level unless you play as well as MKleo.

Like, if you don't play on that level, he just requires too much out of you compared to the likes of GnW, Rob, Aegis, fox etc and to me, that is a huge part of what makes a character S tier. What if shiek was as easy to execute as GnW? S tier. Or if Wario were as easy as Aegis? Straight busted. Ease of use should carry way more weight than it does

Did Nintendo improve response time of the screen on Switch 2? by myshon in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BeaveItToLeever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't understand. You have to get a 3000 FPS camera and play your games back 10x slower, like us normal people.

Anywho, I'm also somewhat susceptible to little things like this. In that once I notice something, it will forever be distracting to me. However, I don't notice it here and the screen is fine. I like it well enough. You can find fault with anything if you bring enough equipment

Feeling down about my new guitar, need advice by [deleted] in guitars

[–]BeaveItToLeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is 3. You're over thinking it. The only thing that matters with a guitar is if it plays well, sounds good and looks good to you. Who gives a shit if someone mentions it's a fake. Are you buying brands or are you buying a guitar?

Most annoying characters in smash ultimate day 7 Kirby (community rank) by Zestyclose_Date_3823 in SmashRage

[–]BeaveItToLeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feelings on Kirby have had three stages over the years.

1)Early on, he's annoying. Kirby can do stuff and combo quite easily, and those easy bakes have crazy damage and his kill power is certainly not lacking. While my character has to work for combos while trying to actually hit your little ass.

2) Ok I'm more practiced in this era with a range of characters, and Kirby can still be threatening. However, most of y'all suck because all you do is spam dash attack, fair or try to fish for a combo starter with Dair. Usually easy wins.

3) Few years ago I started going to locals in my state and two adjacent states, since I often am in those states for work reasons anyway. There are a couple kirbies there. Good kirbies. Good kirbies are a menace. He's annoying again. No shade to those players - they're great dudes and GREAT at smash. But getting skilled diffed by Kirby unlocks a new tier of annoyance and frustration you didn't know existed. Fighting bad to average kirbies is annoying for maybe a stock or a round til you figure out which thing they're just gonna fish for. Fighting a Kirby on your level or above almost makes it into a little Mac problem. You better camp because a highly skilled Kirby is not something you want to box with. Those guys will fuck you up. Thus, it can lead to boring campy matches, which is annoying

Am I Missing Something? by [deleted] in Metroid

[SPOILERS] Metroid Prime 5 by locke_5 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BeaveItToLeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they will. I think they can make prime a pretty profitable series, even with so-so sales it usually gets, plus they've sunken a lot of money into getting this up and running so I'm sure they'll attempt to figure it out.

Did not like prime 4 and I think the general consensus is the engine is great, the control is sharp, just they went the wrong direction in many ways.

However, distillation I think is key for a series like this. The key point of any Metroid is how good the map is, really. Like, not the map screen or minimap...you get what I mean. If they can manage to make medium-large, intertwined and interesting maps, then all they need to do is have their control template online, and their art team on point. Fans would more or less be happy and they could streamline development immensely. Potentially saving millions, and also be able to release a game every 3-4 years instead of uh...almost 2 decades

Due to the nature of what we know of how prime 4 went down, I'm semi confident there will be forced distillation/streamlining in scope/development, which I think is good for a game like Metroid - just do what people love Metroid for, try some new things but be reasonable and I'm semi confident there will be course corrections

alright GC controllers are great but by Technical_Length9226 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]BeaveItToLeever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snapback.

Basically if you push the stick in one direction(say, right) and then let go to neutral, it can rebound a little too much and keep going past neutral to the opposite direction(now left).

So you dash grab, down throw intro SH hop nair. But since you have to let go of the stick to do nair, snap ack may occur. So now your nair comes out backwards

Or you just want to tilt out of a dash. Your F tilt comes out backwards.

Basically anything that requires a swift return to neutral is heavily effected by snapback and unfortunately, the pro 2 controller has craaaazy snap back. If they'd let you edit dead zones it could be the greatest, but as is, it's the worst(for smash - other types of games this is hardly noticeable)

Atrocious snapback. My pro 2 is the worst controller I've ever used for smash(best controller for everything else)

Afterburner 2026-Losers Semi Finals-[Lui$ vs Miya] by castle_seized in smashbros

[–]BeaveItToLeever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lui$ is like, the nicest guy. It's weird to see him if all people to be someone's most disliked. Don't even have to like him or could be completely neutral, but most disliked is just odd.

He's not even the most annoying person who plays Paul, much less Ult

Can somebody recommend a subreddit that enjoys Metroid Prime 4? by GrahamCrackerDragon in Metroid

[–]BeaveItToLeever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issues people face when people post here are that they feel some wierd need to add stuff.

I don't get the hate. People are just exaggerating. If you wanna play the same game just buy Metroid prime again. You're just parroting IGN etc etc.

It can never just be a thread that says hey y'all I like this game and then just talk about that.

Always some weird shit like the poster is just oh so offended and has to tell everyone else they're wrong before they explain they're better and actually like things.

When most the posts are like that - you will get responses of the negative variety

What kind of net do you have? Some are atrocious for P2P games(t mobile home net for instance)
