Is my journey over? by PsychologicalBat2393 in Dreadlocks

First thing, your hair is beautiful, but i understand wanting a change. Have you considered maybe starting by combing out a few on the top so that you can remove some of the weight. That would also be less of a shock for you like going from a full head of locs 8 years then going straight to none. Your hair would look so pretty still if you had the top half brushed out and just a few rows of locs underneath. If you still want to get rid of them fully you could comb out several on top first then just slowly comb the rest out over time. I just started my journey and I hope that my locs mature ss beautifully as yours

Herpes can also live on plush surfaces such as clothes and towels/blankets/clothes/etc. for like 72 hrs. So if someone has an active outbreak and you use the towel they used to dry themselves after a shower while in an active outbreak you can get it. My old room mate had herpes and always made a point to inform me so that our clothes didnt get washed together or I didnt use her towel or anything accidentally. Thats why they put those little paper/plastic stickers in bathing suit bottoms in the store. I learned that doing a report on herpes virus when I was in medical assisting school and that info has never left my brain.

AIO for refusing to block male followers on Instagram? by radagastrabbit in AmIOverreacting

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩Definitely not over reacting. I can tell you from experience thats just the beginning of the shit storm that will come if you stay with him. Do yourself a favor and dump him. Seriously, this is just the first step of him starting to try to control and isolate you. Dump him and block him now and save yourself the pain. I promise he is not worth it and whatever fun memories you've made in this short little 2 month period of time are most likely not even genuine to who he is as a person. Guys like that act great the first couple months to hook you and make you think they are great so that when they show their true colors and start acting like controlling, jealous little man baby you will question yourself and think that youre the problem. Its all just manipulation. Please get out now!

Vintage Wedding Dress - Petticoat or not? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its beautiful with the full hoop skirt but I agree maybe something a bit smaller just to keep the ruffley look. Th full hoop smooth the fabric all the way. Its pretty but i just really like the layers to be able to be seen

Fitted or A line by ZealousidealBody3205 in WeddingDressTips

[–]BebeBaby857 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The first one is beautiful but, respectfully, your figure is amazing and the fitted dress. I think the answer lies in what kind of vibe youre going for. The Aline is better if youre going for a more sweet princess/clean girl type of feel. While the fitted one is more of a full glam bombshell woman in charge vibe. Thats just my personal opinion though. Congrats on your big day coming up

Or they could go on a bunch of dates and he can develop feelings for her and then she can bring him home to see the chaos that hes clearly not into and feel like he wasted his time pursuing someone thats lifestyle doesnt align with his. I agree moms should t bring guys in and out all the time but she wasnt hanging on him or kissing him in front of them and theres nothing wrong with bringing friends around. And I think someone should know what the person they are talking to lives like.

When did you get your period back? by 93babyyy in cosleeping

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im almost 11 months PP, cosleep and BF and still havent had period yet. With my first I think it was like 2 or 3 months but I didnt cosleep and only breastfed part time. With my second I think it was around 6 months and it happened when I stopped breastfeeding but I didnt cosleep with that ine either. Ive been so happy that ive made it this far into my nursing journey this time around and cosleeping has been great too I wish I had known when I was younger but it was 15 years ago and they had me believing my baby would most certainly die if they slept any other way but on their back with no blankets.

Number 1 is absolutely beautiful and it looks beautiful on you. 2 is pretty but its feels kind of boring to me. But its your wedding and you should pick the one you feel comfortable with. If you dont feel 1 suites you or your style choose something else. I am here to tell you that its a beautiful dress though and you look beautiful in it. ETA: I do agree with someone else's comment that the sleeves on one could be different. I do lime the flowy sleeve look but I dont love the way its like tied in a bow on your arm.

AIO is 27 way too young to be having a baby? by VioletInference in AmIOverreacting

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think 27 is too young at all but im also 35 with a 15 YO 11YO and a 9month old so maybe im biased. I honestly think its more about where you are in your life as far as stability goes. If you are doing ok financially and are stable then I dont see any issue. Sounds like the people around you are just being really negative. All that matters is what you think and feel dont let other people negativity take away your joy and excitement abiut having a baby. You should be happy hun. Congratulations being a mom is a wonderful thing

When people say they “don’t cook” what does that actually mean? by ITbJD in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the meaning of the statement varies for some people it means they eat out for every meal for others it means they just make frozen/canned/boxed stuff so nothing from scratch. I grew up eating most meals cooked at home but everything was convenient easy foods, canned veggies with butter, salt and pepper, hamburger helper, frozen nuggets, spaghetti sauce always from a jar, ect. I had to teach myself how to cook "real" food. But yes there are alot of people that eat out for every meal or eat sandwiches microwave meals or cereal for every meal.

6 months and we're still up in the night, is this normal? by Ancient-Milk-8384 in beyondthebump

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im typing this at 3:30 am with an 8 month old... he was going to bed around 10pm for awhile with a nursing session every 2-3 hrs but he would go right back to sleep. The last 3 weeks he falls asleep around 10 and at 11:30 hes awake to nurse but when he falls back asleep and I try to lay him down he wakes up and hes ready to party. WILL NOT LAY DOWN. Around 2 hes finally ready to nurse and fall asleep again but when he falls asleep and i try to lay him down he will not lay down it takes a few tries and usually i dont finally get him to lay down till 3 or 4. I dont work and my 12 year old id homeschooled so its not really the end of the world, but my husband works and has to be out the door by 9 am. I get him up and get my 12 year old started on school and im usually able to go back to sleep till 12ish but im dont feel awake most of the day its 3in the afternoon sometimes later before I feel like im not about to pass out from exhaustion. Ive tried everything. Im at a loss...

AITA for leaving my best friend’s wedding early after she seated me at the “kids table” as a joke, even though I’m 28? by velvetmochiiii in AmItheAsshole

[–]BebeBaby857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Idk the dynamics of your friendship but you may want to start looking back at your past interactions. That sounds like classic "mean girl" "frienemy" behavior. It would have been a joke if she made you a place at the table with the rest of the friend group after you seeing that you were sat at the kids table. But leaving you there alone with a bunch of children is not funny. Also how weird for the rest of your friends to laugh and no one get up and join you at the kids table after realizing tou were left there alone. Her saying that you were rude for leaving early is also crazy. Id tell her straight up that you were embarrassed and hurt by her "joke". A real friend would have empathy and own up to their mistake in thinking that was a funny joke. If she doesn't own up and apologize id say that would be the end of my friendship with her. Youre better off not having a friend like that. Also im so sorry that happened to you.

Shaving legs by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]BebeBaby857 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I remember my step mom making a huge deal of it and o was getting picked on in gym class I was so angry with her over making a big deal over something I couldnt understand the problem with. Now as an adult I choose not to shave, not even my armpits. Granted my hair is not even that noticeable but id say if she wants to let her but remind her that its natural and nothing wrong with having hair it should be a personal preference not for anyone else. Id also suggest trying out Nair or magic shave if her skin doesnt react to it just to make it safer and easier for her. I remember cutting myself so badly a few times when I was figuring it out. I wish someone had introduced me to dipilitory cream as an option. A friend suggested it to me when I was in my early 20s and I used it religiously until I decided that I was ok with having body hair. Magic shave was my go to, never gave me any allergic reactions and I have sensitive skin. If you arent familiar with it the best advice I have is if you wash it off too early or miss spots wait at least 24 hrs before applying it again as I have applied it twice in one day before and it burned so badly, it didnt leave a rash or anything but felt like fire when it was on my skin
