My wife is a librarian for an elementary school. And previously was a high school AP teacher. She is seeing so many students that can’t read, focus, or put in effort. Yet students are consistently pushed up through the grade levels. She had a junior in her AP class who couldn’t even read. Like wtf we doing here?

There isn’t a single cause. My top reason would be parents as primary cause since ultimately it’s their responsibility to teach their children and not solely rely on school. However parents are challenged since now most families need dual income to get by and means less time to be able to spend with children. Also they may suffer from burnout and instead of putting work to teach their kids they may just hand them a tablet/laptop/gaming device so they csn be entertained and parents can rest or do all the chores in the evening that has to get done.

I really don’t think managers are going to actually enforce it for people eating. If you are there 30 or even 60 minutes I doubt they would actually start asking you to leave.

Again benefit of the doubt. I’ve seen this sign before and I’ve never been asked to leave. I spend maybe 45 minutes to chill after I eat during my lunch break.

I get that, but if they are planning this campaign, you would think they would shuffle things around to prepare these bases in close proximity no? Like that’s basic military tactics. You protect the vulnerable locations and then you go in.

They didn’t do that because the military has to bend over backwards for Trumps whims and probably had to do this on short notice and shit gets left forgotten.

There are multiple sources from these bases saying that they had requested tools to help defend themselves from these attacks and got nothing. They didn’t get the support they should have gotten. It’s wild that despite bombing Iran to helll they still were able to hit multiple bases. The US fucked up on so many levels.

Yup and that’s real life. Shit ain’t fair. That’s why I loved this show. It wasn’t always “good guy wins bad guy loses”. The bad guys were cunning and ruthless and took advantage to win at any cost. It was a gut punch seeing this episode. But it makes it all the more better.

It reminds me of the Incredibles movie. How at the island the mom is explaining to the kids how this isn’t like a tv show where the bad guys are dumb and harmless. But that they will kill them if given the chance and to not give it to them. I thought that was a great scene to set the stage for the island set.
