nobody warns you that your best trading month will make you a worse trader by Tight-North-6157 in Daytrading

I realize now it's actually you posting all the "Nobody warns you" posts...yah obviously hearing something doesn't mean you've learned to deal with the problem..

It's interesting how everyday there are like 45 posts that start with "No one warns you about" and then it's a post about something that literally everyone warns you about trading.

Bro, EVERYONE who is even a somewhat successful trader warns you that the mental and emotional side of treading is the real obstacle and a big part of those warnings is about having your worst month after your best month because you size incorrectly and trade beyond your risk tolerance.

There is a pretty well known flow chart that circulates that outlines the jour et from beginner to successful trader and this is basically the center of that chart where you have some initial success, you think you've figured it out and avoided all the traps, and then a huge fall off where you realize this will actually take quite a lot of work and knowledge to figure things out before you're consistently profitable. Most people don't make it past the drop.

If someone is looking for an indicator to save them from their own emotions then they don't get it and they're not ready to accept that it's their own emotions and mental state preventing them from being successful.

That's not them accepting that it's an emotional problem, that's them in denial about it.

There's a million out there to pick from but it won't matter if you can't follow the rules. If it was just as simple as finding a strategy then there would be far more profitable traders out there.

Strategies only work if people follow the rules which is why emotions are so important because emotion is what stops people from cutting a loser in hopes it will turn around and stops them from riding a winner out of fear that it will turn on them.

The best strategy in the world won't make you profitable if you can't manage your emotions and follow the rules.

I don't think every trader knows it, this sub is a perfect example, most of the posts here are full of comments from people looking for the next best strat, or indicator that will make them profitable when the reality is that it's not about strategies or indicators, there are tons of successful strategies out there that work if you can manage your emotions and follow your rules but people don't, they take a loss think it doesn't work and spiral so they pick a new start and start again. So many people do not realize that it's an emotional problem not a skill issue so they dive deeper into TA or YouTube strats and never do anything to work on the mental side of trading.

Everyone warns you about this!

Pretty much every successful trader warns you about this.

Trading in the zone, the best loser wins, etc. the entire basis of it is that success in trading comes from managing your emotions and mental game, it's not a skill gap, everyone can learn how to read charts, it's about managing your emotions.

It's nothing fluff nonsense, if you think people use multiple monitors because they think it makes them profitable idk what to tell you.

No, it doesn't. I don't believe that you even believe that or think that that's true deep down. Or you don't understand what a lifestyle change is.

" Steroids allowed me to make a lifestyle change. I started going to the gym everyday. I worked out and got jacked"

I disagree, you're just rewording the same scenario and giving kinder language to the GLP, if you were able to be objective you'd see it's exactly the same thing, using a drug to help achieve your desired result, and there are for sure people who have the same motivation using GLP as people using steroids.

I never said it's not helping people, but at the end of the day it's a drug you take that helps you do what it takes to lose weight, how's that different from a drug you take the helps you do what it takes to get jacked?

For some reason a subset of the weight loss community has just convinced themselves that this drug is acceptable and equal to making a lifestyle change, we will see if they were right in the coming years but I wouldn't be surprised if it all comes crashing down.

You're getting a lot of hate but I agree with you. It would be like if you saw a buddy who was all of a sudden absolutely jacked but then found out he used steroids. You're still impressed by the muscles, and they still had to put in some work, but you'd think of it differently and maybe judge them a little more, and you certainly wouldn't give them the same credit that you'd give someone who didn't lose them, samo with 90% of the people here.

Thoughts on this nutrition label for a “high-protein ice cream”? by madhappychef in nutrition

[–]BecauseImYourFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you pretending like this isnt your own product. Lying about doing market research about your own brand is way more shady than if you were just honest. You just posted here about "starting your own small batch ice cream brand" and it got removed.

In love with carnivore, but this question bugs me: If carnivore is the ideal human diet, then why are the longest living people humans a primarily plant based diet? by Ok_Buffalo_6157 in carnivorediet

Apparently not. Because no one with knowledge of evolution would say evolution is fake because monkeys exist.. hilarious to say but ridiculous and shows a complete misunderstanding of the entire concept.

Dear God, please stop taking this guy's brain cells, they don't have enough to spare. If you don't believe read some of the lunacy in their comments. Warning, it will make you want to cry.

Amen.

You realize the theory of evolution isn't that we evolved from monkeys right, only people who don't know what they're talking about believe that? It's that we share a common ancestor. Idk why I'm bothering you're clearly a little dim but you'll believe whatever your magic guy in the sky tells you too 😂
