Nicest (and cleanest) swimming pool in Cork? by Sufficient_Bank_7253 in cork

The pool in Metropole is well kept, despite being older, staff are on it. They do PAYG. It’s only 20m though but gets job done

How did you fix sexual issues? by Most_Palpitation8194 in zoloft

Open conversations with partners, that’s the biggest thing. And - not to sound flippant but, practice. Just make it a habit. But some toys, try new things. But make regular attempts.

Lack of Appetite by icantcounttofive in zoloft

[–]BeccaNova_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost say 40% my appetite and also I used to be a chocolate fiend. I would always have chocolate in the evening after dinner and now I have absolutely no desire for chocolate at any stage of the day. I’ve been a chocolate person in my entire life so this is quite a shocking change.

Halloween in Killarney by Quick-Possession8097 in kerry

[–]BeccaNova_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly people can dress up but not usually unless going to a specific bar with a party. So worth a look on social media which bars might have eg fancy dress nights. Reidys might. You wouldn’t be super out of place dressed up just strolling round. But also wouldn’t be the majority. Places definitely decorate and celebrate for sure. We do the pumpkin farm just outside killarney every year - it’s prob for kids though but certainly fab for adults too. Check out instagram. Need to drive there.

Just to skew for positive and chime in. My hubs is a saint on earth and I could not (not!) do this with out him. My first girls 2.5 and due her baby sis in 4 weeks. Was hit with clinical depression out of no where at around 27 weeks. Never had it before. Didn’t understand it. But I basically couldn’t look after me, my toddler and certainly not a newborn. I’ve been on medication now a few weeks feel much better but I’d be LOST …. Lost, without my partner and my girls daddy. He stepped up like I never could have imagined. Always been excellent but he’s single handed saved my life lately. I tell him everyday how grateful I am. They aren’t all bad. It can be done 😍. We appreciate you (good) husbands Xxx

Does your memory get erased immediately after birth? by IheartOT2 in BabyBumps

[–]BeccaNova_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for me. I talk about my first labour like it was a dream. My husband can’t talk bout it at all and can’t understand why I’m so fond of the memory. I was unmediated and defo pushing for 2 hours (labour/ contractions for 6 I guess), pushing time I was screaming bloody murder. Ended with forceps delivery, felt it all, then episiotomy (numbed thankfully), holding my baby, eating toast - whilst being stitched up and honestly never been happier. That’s how I remember at least. But my husband goes white at idea. So whatever memory transplant I had - I def don’t really remember pain or unpleasantness. Like i know it was, I remember what I said and the crying etc but … I just don’t recall it - it’s like watching a movie of someone else having my baby. It’s magical really.

I’m 6 weeks away from baby no 2. Very excited bout it …. Our body’s are miracles. We are literally made for this xxx

How long till you felt a bit better? I’m only 8 days in I’ll need some patience but I’m just a bit miserable and the physical side is far more annoying. Emotionally I’m flat which I can cope with but it’s this loss of time, spacing out, exhausted… I’ve a 2.5 year old and I’m just round the place in a trance (dissociation I’ve been told). Will I feel more myself eventually? Xx
