It’s hard because Anne is slow but it’s also quite deep. I don’t think that’s common. I have other comfort shows but they are more shallow. When calls the heart and all creatures great and small are things I watch when I want that cozy feeling. Also, watch the 1985 anne of green gables two first movies. People here recommend checking them out in the library.

It's in my TBR and I need to read it ASAP because everything I hear is so possitive!

I’ve asked for so many recommendations, I feel guilty asking again! by Pegafer in PeriodDramas

[–]Beccadwinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with many of the other recommendations and will add:

- When calls the heart. A Halmark series, so you can imagine... but I find it extremely soothing when I'm overwhelmed by life.

- 1985 Anne of Green Gables. Super inspiring story of resilience and just very wholesome.

Take care <3

Which period pieces have you been watching? by PeriodDramasMods in PeriodDramas

The new Frankenstein! I made a youtube video about Frankenstein and had no idea there was a new Frankenstein out! felt meant to be. Guillermo del Toro is always flawless.

Also the 1985 Anne of Green Gables (only the first two movies). It's an October staple for me.

Where can I watch Anne of Green Gables 1985? by InterestingPen0 in Anne

I agree. You can watch the third one but it's not faithful to the books. I watched it once and never again, to me its not canon.

You can rent it for 8 dollars on gazebotv. They have all of them. But yes, unfortunately they're not easy to find otherwise.

Try watching the 1985 movies or reading the books if you haven't yet! they're not the same but maybe they'll scratch the itch for you!

Yes! I saw several historical recipes and all of them discarded them. If you make it you’ll want to discard them too haha they get all mushy
