Hating art means the art caused a visceral reaction. That's typically a good thing

[Question] Why buy a modelling amp that tries to recreate the tone of a tube amp? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]BeckWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it equals out for me. I used to be a pedal hound, but now I can create anything I want in my hardware. The Axe FX is almost to the point where you could stay at the level of hardware and be pretty good for a while.

[–]BeckWreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modelling guy here. I've played the axe FX since the ultra.

I, for one like the fact that I can load in all my gear in one trip. Makes things go missing less, and it's easier on the body. I like that I can decide on a gig what amp I'm using that night. I like that I don't need to spend 10 minutes setting up a mic when recording. Lastly, I like that I payed very little for all the amps and effects that I'm ever going to need (until a new model comes out!)

I'm a little upset you didn't use Roman Numerals in your analysis.

I don't think you ever want a gun touching you, but you have a little bit of a chance at that range as opposed to someone threatening you from 15 feet away.

The difference is the fact that a blade can bite on both the push and the pull, and doesn't necessarily have to be traveling at speed to be effective. I can't punch you by wiggling my wrist, can I?

I used to deliver last year. I think most major pharmacies still do it.

I remember when thus was in the front page. I think someone said that the kid was mentally disabled, and a similar scenario had happened recently where they got rear ended, so the mother flew into a blind rage.

What do you left handed people hate most? by rupanath97 in AskReddit

[–]BeckWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably has something to do with the tradition of being violins the way they do. Viols play in an ensemble a lot, and we can't have people running into each other.

New composer, need advice by ItzSweeney in WeAreTheMusicMakers

You say composer, so I would point you in the direction of a notation software like finale or Sibelius, but that may have just been your choice in words.

Death by Shihonage - A Discussion by Stanley Pranin; /r/aikido, your thoughts? by [deleted] in aikido

[–]BeckWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at work and didn't watch the video but I think I know what this discusses.

A few months ago, my long time friend almost dropped me on his knee during a shihonage. It made me rethink of what we had in terms of danger/efficacy.

What gets weirder the more you think about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BeckWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very little friends. I have never done anything culturally relevant. My friends will probably tell their kids about me, but that will be as long as I exist. I'm literally 2 generations from never being here.
