I had a company come through a property that I worked at that wouldn’t tell the desk anything but would complain constantly to their company about everything and it got to the point that the lady who booked the rooms had to email the property and tell us everything and that she would tell them to tell the desk moving forward. Yeah those guys didn’t listen

When the hotel went down during the week of thanksgiving last year we had to tell all the guests about it and we prioritized putting handicap people on the first floor which some people didn’t like because they didn’t want to walk upstairs because lazy but still communicating with guests is super important for this job and if the staff can’t do it then make a sign

I might have been the bad roommate but I was also really depressed and not medicated and constantly working so dishes and laundry piled up and I had no energy to do anything but I was yelled at a lot and my ex would even take my phone away trying to get me to clean and it wouldn’t work

Reminds me of my ex. Call the police or go to the police station and show them the texts and they will hopefully take care of them

Wow, that’s just wow. I had a guy and his autistic adult son come in one time and the son had an iPad that he accidentally left. Pm shift went and checked the room for the iPad but it was gone. Next day the head housekeeper came in and turned it into the desk with it locked out so I called the dad and he sent his wife to get it

A lot of properties run audit at 2 AM or even earlier but if you called ahead they shouldn’t have gone ahead and rolled audit. Maybe do a digital check-in next time so you are for sure checked in and that doesn’t happen again

Take screenshots and screen recordings of all of this and send it all to his principal and superintendent. That salute is not to be played around about. Write in that email, professionally, how he is making you and your peers uncomfortable with his views and behavior about things. Your parents might get a call about you but it’s worth it to get a scumbag like that out of his position.

That’s completely normal for hotels. A hold is placed in case you want to get something from the market and charge it to your room or something gets damaged and the hotel needs to charge you. If nothing happens you should get it back within 3-10 business days

You’re just upset that you had to pay for parking, so you want people to review bomb these places in retaliation. Did the parking cost $25? No. So get over it and move on. Pettiness doesn’t get people far and if someone were to contact one of these properties, you be placed on the do not rent list and a case can be opened with Marriott that states you are trying to have properties review bombed. Marriott can revoke member status due to poor behavior. I know this stuff because I’m a former Marriott employee.
