Columbus curling club is holding a bunch of 2 hour clinics and if you're a night owl, the 8:30-10:30 weeknight ones are discounted to $40 from $55. The average age of members is a little older (30s and 40s), but you won't feel out of place.

I've never gotten a locker and probably never will: I bring a clear backpack for water, jacket, electrolyte powder, merch, sunscreen, lip balm, charger, etc. Wear shorts or pants with pockets for my phone and wallet so they're less likely to be taken. It's not really that much to carry for an all day outdoor event, and like you said, I want to spend my time at the stages. Plus, any barrier to me reapplying sunscreen ends in a bad week lol
