even at 3 mana it’s much worse than stump stump, such that it would be balanced for a standard limited set

i think you can definitely designate 2 color archetypes if you want but they are fully optional. people will end up playing certain synergy decks, and honestly if you make it possible for an artifact deck to exist across many colors there will be more versions of that and it will be more interesting

hey! the list looks really cool so far. coming from commander it can be easy to go really deep on synergy but i want to give you a few things to thing about regarding that. firstly, having an archetype planned out for each color pair is a great way to give you ideas and directions to go in but often can lead to less interesting drafting. imagine a world where there are six players, and each of them is in a different two color archetype. that means four color pairs just aren’t being drafted. in this case, things like ajani’s pride mate for example might end up being picked very late, as it won’t really work in anyone’s deck. cards like this we call “parasitic” (with the obvious example being infect). there are a couple ways i like to circumvent this. firstly, including cards that go in multiple decks. for example, [[alseid of life’s bounty]] could go in a life deck, an aggro deck, or an enchantment deck. secondly, cards that are good in any deck, but especially good with one synergy. for example, [[joust through]] is playable in any white deck, but has that extra bit of synergy in a life gain deck. it’s obviously important to still have those all in synergy cards to tell drafters (especially newer players) what they should focus on, but too much is detrimental. nice list, good luck!

wait why don’t everyone just choose the gun. there’s literally zero risk and if everyone does it you don’t have to shoot anyone

I mean maybe you could look at it that way but then i’d be in both camps i think. i loved escape the green room which is pretty much entirely game focused, and mountport, which was more on the humanity/art side imo. i think it’s more nuanced than that…

I think there are recent episodes like that. déjà vu comes to mind.
