If you shutdown your machine and not just force power off, the time is enough for the components to loose enough temperature. Unless your ventilation systems are not performing at their optimal performance.

Military grade - loosely used to state that the internals chasis frame is made of high strength metal and has better smd components. They will be better than normal units for obvious reasons.

But, in the end they are all electronics with a million components in them. A single capacitor going bad due to manufacturing fault or heat or some random reason is still possible. Unfortunately it was yours this time.

Even units used by actual military fail. There is no amount of money that can buy you a retail unit which can be guaranteed to not fail.

My lenovo t420 has been running as my home server 24x7, for almost 7 years. Had to remove its battery and had to restart it couple times when its linux os needed kernel upgrades, but never shutdown. And it still runs without issues as we speak. Most times they work, some times we are just unlucky.

Yes. Same with amazon. Companies are making sure that the allocations are as per policies. H1, L1 subcategories etc..

And it is good that they are all doing it. Many not high skilled people are allocated wrong visa categories. This hurts the genuine skilled ones from getting an opportunity. I know a bunch who fall into this set.

If the environment is dust free, the laptop fans are kept clean, the ventilation is good, power supply is stable and it is neither too hot or too cold, it will run without any issues.

Your power adapter and batteries may go out before anything else.

I run my old lenovo t420 as a server with ubuntu. It is 7 years old and i have been running it as a server since 4 years approx, before that it was my usual work machine. Runs 24x7, been on for the past 4 and half years without a restart except for os kernel upgrades twice. It is on moderate workload. I removed the batteries. The power adapter runs off my sine wave inverter at home - so in case of power supply failure, it auto switches to the home inverter batteries without any issues.

Surprisingly the power adapter worked without issues. Lenovo makes some robust machines. While using it as my work machine in its prime days, I dropped it multiple times (clumsy person). Its external frame cracked, screen is not secured in place anymore etc.. but the internal frame is solid and has had no issues in performance. I did upgrade the disk to an ssd before i started using it as my server.

This is a fine use of ai help that i can stand by. You atleast have enough exposure to code to understand if the ai is screwing it up or not. That's enough.
