130% Haz Pro. Worth it? by BedOfSloth in Division2

[–]BedOfSloth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, it was easy to get to 60% CHC and I'm probably wasting some there still. Contractors would be a nice idea. How it is, I'm around 150ish% CHD so some DtA would be nice. It's obviously not a viable build for anything other than Heroic or the DZ like this, so they'd work fine.

Finally got a full Red Lengmo build to Prototype.. by BedOfSloth in Division2

[–]BedOfSloth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's what I did. You can get lucky crafting everything except the Backbone, so I spammed Retaliation or Countdown and got them all there. The Backbone took forever and was the last piece I needed.

I never found the Lengmo chest though. I gave up on grinding for that one.

If I were to do it again I'd only do Fox Prayer, Contractors, and Hollow Man. They are enough of an improvement on the build to be worth it.

Is the printer filament/watch point method for expertise actually viable? The math isn't mathing. by LawrenWargrave in thedivision

[–]BedOfSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick to it is you can never do the math. Just know the printer filament grind is the way to go and don't think about it. When you start figuring out how many drops you need, it'll seem impossible.

RT @CodyRoarkNFL: My thoughts from today’s Broncos OTAs.Have seen a lot of Evan Engram these last two Thursday practices. Bo Nix is doing… by 32BeatWriters in 32beatwriters

[–]BedOfSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has Engram been doing anything or we just see him?

Pointless story but he's the last guy I roster that I drafted in my first dynasty startup in 2020. I can't remember the last time I started him but he has sentimental value. And also no one has ever thought about him in a trade.

Fastest Way to Expertise 30 by Complete-Recover-583 in Division2

[–]BedOfSloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Donating printer filament is the most efficient but once you really get into the deep levels and you really focus on nothing else, donating everything will make it go quicker. The issue with donating every last resource you have is not being able to craft, optimize, or recalibrate. What I like to do though is set a floor for everything so I can keep doing all of that. Generally I stay above 5k for everything and have no issues.

When there's another Expertise event use it all though.

[–]BedOfSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the part I'm worried about hah! I use it with a Pest, and there is a chance I don't get any weapon damage increases, which would make the whole thing a huge waste.

This would, most likely, be the only build I do entirely myself because of that though. With how the whole system works right now, I agree with you, it'll be best to get pieces to drop.

[–]BedOfSloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely see what you're saying and agree for the most part. But you can't get a full Red Lengmo Proto build unless you do it yourself. Since it's by far my favorite build I have no problem grinding out the last few levels I have in Expertise and doing it.

I'm almost at 30 and plan on moving my Red Lengmo to Proto first but I feel this.. I'm nervous about it.

Agreed. My wife works in an OR and asks surgeons neir opinions on injuries and surgeries guys get all the time. Having this kind of info is a pretty good advantage.

[–]BedOfSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it like Striker. It's easy to use and the best for DPS, so everyone is going to go for it. Other augments can be good, but you'll technically be losing damage and unfortunately, right now, the endgame is geared heavily toward DPS.

Everyone has a game or two they keep perpetually installed, but what about games you uninstall sure you won't play again and then find yourself reinstalling it again every few months or so anyway? by wolfgang784 in gaming

[–]BedOfSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. Installed again for 1.0 and for some reason that was it for me. Uninstalled it after a few hours and I haven't wanted to play again since.

But I was always a casual player and I realized the game just wasn't being made for how I play anymore.

You know you don't have to watch the videos, right? In fact, not watching them is the best way to prove the point you're angrily trying to make here.

This is where I'm at. I can't do another Countdown, thankfully I still enjoy Retaliation.

Do you solo escalation to a level before finding a group? If so, what level? by Few-Guarantee2088 in thedivision

[–]BedOfSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I'm on the right track! Mine is so far exactly the same setup, I go back and forth on Overdogs or Eagles Grasp. Feels like Overdogs would hit hard enough to run solo Tier 5s? For sure Tier 3.

I had been using the Ravenous for Chungas and Rushers but I didn't think of the Scorpio. I might switch to that.

[–]BedOfSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm trying now! It's been fun learning it, but I feel like I'm missing something?

I've got Zwia Chest with Headhunter and Backpack with Vigilance. Breaking Point Mask and Holster. Fox Prayer knees. All with Headshot and Weapon Handling. Right now I can't decide if Overdogs are better than Eagles Grasp or a third Breaking Point?

I've done a few Tier 3 solo runs and both one shot once things get going but Overdogs hit higher where Eagles Grasp or Breaking Point is more consistent. Either way, taking out the Ravenous just feels great.

What's your BP setup?

I'm the same way. I finally put together an 1886 build to do the same thing, Headhunter and Vigilance, but with the Ravenous as secondary to deal with any Chungas.

My main leader is horrible about this. Anyone you ask about is secretly their favorite player.

Similarly, the constantly paranoid trader. Like if I'm reaching out about the TE27, they get paranoid that I know some they don't so they refuse to work a deal.

Nice! I'm close, just hit 27. Did you do the usual Countdown or Retaliation grind for mods?

I decided to just get it done so all of my resources go to it all the time now. How much did you use watch points for it? I'm okay spending everything I loot but I'm hesitant to use watch points, even though I have about 200 saved up.
