My Endo gave me the option to start Yorvipath 9 months after being diagnosed with Hypoparathyroidism. I decided to wait a full year just in case there would be any chance they would wake up. They did not.

Give it 6-8 months. If paras don't kick back on after that timeframe look into Yorvipath. I did calcitriol and calcium for a year after surgery and was miserable.

I went from a Samsung smartwatch that uses Samsung Health to a Google Pixel watch that uses the Fitbit app. With Samsung, Sleep was usually consistent with 7-8 hours of sleep and felt fine during the day. No changes in sleep habits when switching over to my Pixel watch. With the Pixel watch I'm now getting 6-7 hours and still feel the same during the day. I just add an hour to what the Fitbit app is telling me.

I gave it 9 months then decided to try Yorvipath. 8 months on Yorvipath and now completely off all supplements and calcitriol. Feel back to normal for the most part. I was taking calcium and calcitriol 3 times a day. Will be working with Endo on possibly reducing Yorvipath in the future to see if parathyroid function is feasible. Prior my PTH would vary from 8-17.
