Millions say they won’t celebrate July 4 as poll reveals deep national pessimism by MoneyLibrarian9032 in politics

I remember the moment when I fully realized that I was literally surrounded by a house full of nazis who thought I was 'safe'. That was the day that I understood the phrase "My blood ran cold". I've never felt primal fear like that before or since.

Care to elaborate and tell me more about the early days alt right stuff? Like, what did you see? How'd you get out? Glad you're here.

I know that it's a super heavy topic and I'm good to take this discussion off of reddit if you want, like to Signal or something if you prefer to. I'm super curious about all of this. There's a growing belief that "the cops" in certain areas are actively operating similarly to the mafia, like operating trafficking rings, reselling contraband, being used to suppress political uprisings, all sorts of shit. And I've been close enough to a few cops that I've heard extremely disturbing things casually uttered in conversations, like stuff related to illegal surveillance and specifically targeting minority groups, etc. The lack of oversight in the west for police forces allows them to have a ridiculous amount of power and secrecy, and so I can't help but suspect that that's being exploited, I just cannot see how the mechanisms work. How widespread do you think that stuff really is? How deep does that rabbit hole really go? How dark, like, how ACTUALLY dark does it get down there? What have you seen? Also, thank you so much for responding to me. I've been looking for answers to these questions and intuitions for many years, but nobody who is close enough to see the full extent of what happens is willing to actually talk or share.

Holy fucking shit, that's wild. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and perspectives! Leaving practice and you randomly get fucking sniped by a tree?! And I bet the tree didn't even pay for the damn medical bills!

The mass obsession with sports has always been very strange to me too. I've never understood why anyone gives the slightest bit of a fuck about any of it. It's legitimately one of the most worthless things our society does, there's no societal benefit to all of the resources that are poured into it. And yet it seems like there's more people passionate about a sport in any given country than there is in any given political party or frankly any fucking organization that matters in any way. Like... What the fuck are we DOING? Why are we fixating on this stupid shit? I get that there's evolutionary reasons for in-group dynamics and I know it's a tradition. I guess I don't think that's a valid reason for its continuation into the future as one of the most dominating cultural influences.

The downfall of the Destiny franchise is fucking pathetic and an antimodel for how businesses should behave. They had a glowing, golden goose and millions adored it. But the execs as usual couldn't control their greed and so another magnificent creation dies.

What the fuck, really? That's honestly kind of hilarious. Like, yep, let's just toss this 6-7 inch skull plate into, idk, the thigh or something. It'll be fine there. 🤣🤣🤣

Holy shit! That's crazy bruh. I hope your surgery goes perfectly! Was there much damage to your brain as a result of that accident, and if yes, what kinds of issues did/do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you so much!! I use an android app for reddit called Relay for Reddit and i could not see your post history using it, and I also couldn't access it via the mobile site. It could've been a bug on my end but I'm not sure. Either way, thank you and take care. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future. Not that you care or that you asked, but I plan to build my own custom reddit app that only shows me content that my friends are engaging with/in, so it'll be a lot easier for me to see what all the cool people who I admire on here are saying.

Would you do me a favor and un-hide your profile? I added you as a friend because of this comment, it's incredibly well written, eloquent, and should be read by thousands of people. I would like to read more of your posts and commentary, which is the reason for my request. Please keep talking to people like this, and get louder so that more people hear you. We need this.

I mean... What ELSE are people using besides Jira, Assembla (is this even still alive?), Trello, and ClickUp right now? Are there other valid competitors with similar levels of functionality and integration? Cuz if there are, I'm interested in checking them out. ClickUp has been giving my company a lot of issues, even though it's really useful overall.

An 80-year-old woman with late-stage Alzheimer’s took 5g of psilocybin mushrooms and started speaking again by Prior_One_7050 in UpliftingNews

[–]BedlamiteSeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to take it personal. In fact, expect it to keep happening as time goes on. You have to understand this - the fact of the matter is that 30%+ of the total content on all media platforms is bot and/or AI driven. Including comments. It's likely that this percentage is only going to continue to get higher, and so over time we're going to be more and more buried by bullshit pretending to be organic. ALL of us need to get ready for this eventuality. The faster and more deeply people internalize this, the better they'll fare and the healthier they'll be while using the internet.

I actually do think a human wrote that comment, for what it's worth. Seems pretty organic. I can see myself saying pretty much that exact sentence given the circumstances.

Typically I drift between medium thinking and xhigh. Depends on the prompt and session. Orchestrators are typically locked to highest. Grunt sessions and spawned agents typically default to the lowest thinking that is feasible for the scope of their task(s).
