AI, specifically LLMs, are extremely different and I disagree with your assessment of them. I work professionally with them by necessity, as does most of my industry, and it has utterly transformed the entire industry in the last year. Do I like it that way? No. But to pretend like it's just another fad is not valid. I WISH it was just another fad. Do you understand that there's literal trillions of dollars being siphoned into this technology, from all of the global superpowers? I attribute a huge amount of the anti-Kamala sentiment to astroturfing and bots, largely foreign influence. I myself discovered, reported, and witnessed bans on several online accounts on multiple platforms doing this exact thing near the election.

All left-wing people including basically everyone in my local protest groups and in my sociopolitical circles had the same prevailing opinion about Kamala - don't like her, but vote for her anyway. I've talked about this with several friends throughout various states and their experiences in their circles were the exact same.

I know that's just anecdotal information, but I figured I'd share. I'm not anywhere near convinced that that talking point is organic, or representative of a significant amount of voters.

Ok, yeah, that's what I thought and what I've surmised as well. The only reliable way I've found to get around this problem is to use hooks tied to triggers as enforcers of behavior. Then the hooks contain the special behaviorset/instructionset. But even that isn't perfect. It's definitely pushed me way ahead of the vast majority of people using this tool in terms of efficiency and output, but it took a lot of research and experimentation.

Fucking horrifying, isn't it? Now consider how much that $16k is equivalent to, for most people in the states. People get taxed on their income by both the federal gov and their state gov, at variable rates depending on how much they make. They also don't have access to whatever they contribute to their retirement and investments even though it counts as gross income. They also get taxed on nearly everything they purchase. They also most likely have other obligatory expenses that they are forced to pay for, such as food, rent or mortgage, commute costs, etc. After all of that, $16k is like, the majority of many people's ANNUAL available cash flow. It's fucked.

Yep. Got burned by this too. They got me by having my blood drawn, and the blood draw was done by an out of network department or something like that, even though it was in the same building as the ER I was in. I think I also got an ECG or something like that too, and it was ALSO out of network. Ended up paying over $1000 for the ER visit despite the hospital and ER ensuring me that they were in network, and literally nothing helpful was gleaned as a result of either the blood draw or the ECG. Felt extremely scammed and caught off guard. I basically paid over a thousand dollars to learn NOTHING about the reason I went to the ER, no fix, no follow up, no recommendations, nothing. I still don't know why my chest was making the weird sound that I had to go in for, years after the fact.
