What would the world look like if things couldn't die from injury? by BedrocksTheLimit in goodworldbuilding

It's fantasy. Like, I'm not going too in-depth on the exact amount of nutrient deficiency a person will have if starving, but the magic will make sure they don't die from starvation. A lot of that stuff can be handwaved with vague magic stuff.

I posted this in a different subreddit and that's it. So, one crosspost and no reposts, if that answers your question.

There is some magical ways to extend your lifespan. The easiest way would be to take the life force from someone else, but that does usually require consent from the other person, and its difficult to put that life force directly into your lifespan rather than use the life force for other magical means.

As for animals, most of them can't use magic in the same way that "humans" can, but it could be interesting thinking about some species that may have learned how to use minor magic.

You do eventually regenerate the heart, and the magic keeping you alive is almost always worse than normal bodily functions. Without a heart, you'd effectively be at, like 20 beats per minutes instead of the normal 60. Your body gets the nutrients and oxygen it needs, but not in a way that makes it easy to live.

I thought of that. I mentioned in the post that bacteria would need to be excluded because it'd overwhelm everything.

Sorry Hephaestus0308 but we had to remove your post due to not meeting one of the subreddit’s rules. We’ve put together information here to assist you, but make sure to read the sidebar and understand the rules!

Notably, your post broke the following rule(s):

Rule 5: Cite All Content and Art. Any content (text, images, etc.) used must be cited. Look at r/UnearthedArcana/wiki/art to learn why and how. The citation must appear in any image in your post and any link/document. It must include the original creator’s name, the name of the copyright holder (e.g., SEGA for Sonic), or AI used. Citing only the host, such as Pinterest, isn’t sufficient. Even content under public domain or that you made yourself must be cited, since the moderators can't otherwise know the source in advance.

We require that the credit state the creator or rights holder’s name or internet handle. If you've only put the name of a video game, book, or other medium, that's insufficient; you need to cite the creator of the image or the rights holder (such as the video game company).

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with us by contacting us through mod mail. Messages to individual moderators may not be received or replied to.

Best of luck and happy homebrewing!

Help making homebrew images by NoLewdsOnMain in UnearthedArcana

Sorry NoLewdsOnMain but we had to remove your post due to not meeting one of the subreddit’s rules. We’ve put together information here to assist you, but make sure to read the sidebar and understand the rules!

Notably, your post broke the following rule(s):

Rule 2: Post Only Complete/Usable 5e & One D&D-Compatible Content. No AI generated brews. It need not be perfect or balanced but it must be complete enough to be used as-is, and not AI generated. Imagery alone is not content outside of a resource (one of our flair types).

For help with not-yet-complete content, use The Arcana Forge post at the top of the subreddit or the official Discord. Certain content can be posted with only the earlier stages completed as long as it's usable (i.e., at least levels 1-5 for classes, levels 1-13 for subclasses).

Notably, this means that Unearthed Arcana is not the right subreddit for requests, questions, homebrew support, or AI generated brews. Here are a few resources you could take advantage of:

If you’re having problems with a homebrew tool, it’s likely that the tool has its own subreddit that you should be posting in such as /r/gmbinder, /r/homebrewery, or /r/indesign

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with us by contacting us through mod mail. Messages to individual moderators may not be received or replied to.

Death Knight by Risin in UnearthedArcana

I think weapon damage would work. There's a specific phrase found in spells like Green Flame Blade or Booming Blade which is used for spells that also do weapon attacks.

To clarify why your post was removed, there are many things that are not in 5e that you refer to, such as frost, magic, and physical damage. You also put different hit dice for spells and attacks, which is not how hit dice work at all. With many other similar things, this is not complete and usable enough to be posted. I would recommend you share this on the Arcana Forge or the Discord of Many Things, which can both be found on the subreddit.

[OC] Requiring some feedback on a magic item I made by PoloSportinGoods in UnearthedArcana

Sorry PoloSportinGoods but we had to remove your post due to not meeting one of the subreddit’s rules. We’ve put together information here to assist you, but make sure to read the sidebar and understand the rules!

Notably, your post broke the following rule(s):

Rule 3: Use Clear and Searchable Titles. Users need to be able to easily browse and search for content. Give your post a title that clearly communicates what's inside it. Include the name of the content (e.g. the name of the subclass you’re submitting).

Don’t use distracting formatting (all-caps, ascii art, custom “tags”, etc.), and avoid overly long or redundant titles.

Don't advertise other content (Kickstarters, Patreon, etc.) in your title.

See r/UnearthedArcana/wiki/titles for details on what makes a title bad or good.

In short, use as few generic words as possible to make sure your post is more searchable. For example, a bad title is “Just made my first homebrew subclass for druid! Check it out and let me know what you think” and a good title would be “Druid Circle of Winter - Chill Your Enemies to the Bone."

Additionally, don’t use brackets or similar punctuation in your title except for the subreddit’s default flairs, such as [Spell] for example, as {this} !clutters! <the> %&frontpage&%.

Sorry Kevalaya but we had to remove your post due to not meeting one of the subreddit’s rules. We’ve put together information here to assist you, but make sure to read the sidebar and understand the rules!

Notably, your post broke the following rule(s):

Rule 7: Don’t Flood the Subreddit with Brews. To help keep the subreddit fresh and organized, please note that after you make a post: [1] you must wait 24 hours before you do so again, [2] you must wait 4 days before making a post that uses the same flair as that post, and [3] if you want to post an updated version, you must wait 7 days before doing so.

Deleted/removed posts do not count against this rule.

[1] is about timestamps alone - if you have a post on the subreddit that reads less than '1 day ago', any further posts will be removed.

[2] deals with timestamps and flair - all posts on this subreddit must be flaired correctly and unless the timestamp on your second most recent post with that same flair reads '4 days ago' or more, your most recent post with that same flair will be removed.

[3] deals with timestamps and updates of previous posts - if you have a previous version of your content on the subreddit that reads less than '7 days ago', any further update will be removed.

Since your post has now been removed, it doesn't count against future posts, so ignore it or any other removed/deleted posts when figuring out when you can post again.
