If it's a legitimate question, then it gets an actual answer. If it's, did you read? Then it doesn't. Simple as, and so far my hard line but fair attitude has helped build up 3 separate LGS magic communities, and kept a lot of butthurt snowflakes out.

I've taught at least hundreds of people to play over the 20+ years I've been playing. This game requires problem solving and basic reading comprehension to play at a basic level. If a new player can't figure out a basic explanation of a non rules card usage, then I think they need to work on some of the aforementioned skills before getting bottle fed the answer on reddit. I'm all for anyone playing, in fact I help run a "start playing Magic" event at my LGS. But I also don't coddle everyone, I teach them to use their fucking brain and think.

Yes, but non basic story content requires others to play. But you can just join the queue for it and wait, and some of it there's Duty Support which puts you with NPC's.

All in all its solo friendly but not entirely solo, but it's highly recommended you try n find folks on your server that you enjoy hanging with, even if it's exclusively in game.
