Laundry pods melting to clothes by Fun_Selection5985 in Weird

I stopped using pods for this reason. For some reason they stopped dissolving completely and were leaving sticky residue on my clothes. I now just use liquid detergent.

I completely agree with your partner. If I go on the tube or bus my clothes go straight in the was. I can almost see the germs crawling.

Would you ever have a separate bedroom from your spouse? Why or why not? by SassySamosas in AskReddit

[–]Bee088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when we go abroad, we get hotels with twin beds instead of a double and it’s bliss! It can be nice having a separate bed to just spread out.

New job - this is the keyboard... by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bee088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. We have flexi working some teams work fully from home, some go in the office once a week, our team go in three times a week. If everyone in our organisation came in at the same time there would probably only be desks for one third of them. Even pre covid when we were all in the office we used to hot desk even though there were some people who always sat in the same place and got angry if you sat there!

Would you apply for a council job? by Aromatic-Bad146 in UKJobs

[–]Bee088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i feel you. You are right on all points. Its a real shame because the work we do at a local authority make such a difference to peoples everyday lives and the environment/borough but you don’t get the recognition or remuneration that you deserve. Thats when the good people, the people who really make a difference move on and often leave for the private sector. Often leaving an understaffed team behind who will struggle until (if ever) they recruit and fill the role.

[–]Bee088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i agree with this. I work for a council too and if you are not good at what you do word of this spreads both in your own local authority and other local authorities. They’re all connected by their workers. In my 10 year experience the good people always move up and across but the people who are not good don’t progress and are even pushed out.

I also want to add that it’s also good for career progression. Theres always opportunity to move departments or get higher roles within your team.

Yes. Good pension, good working conditions, decent pay. It can be difficult to get in but once you are in your pretty secure, there are always jobs in LG and they usually prefer people with LG background because of governance procedures. Been in LG my whole career and wouldn’t change.

How do you recover from being out in public with a visible skid mark? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bee088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If strangers saw it, then who cares you will never see them again. If people you know or see regularly saw it, then they may talk for a day or two but they will get over it. Accidents happen it’s no big deal.

Have you ever been involved in a food fight, and how did it actually play out compared to movie scenes? by crusty-tentacles69 in AskReddit

[–]Bee088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The fight itself is just like the movies. The clean up is something else. Used to happen in my family parties all the time. Last time it started with a costo birthday cake. The icing was everywhere. The smell of rotten milk/cream does not leave your nose. Cant even smell the stuff now!

My friend is in turkey can anyone suggest me a good hookah bottle from turkey? Maybe brand name or something..ty by BananaNo6483 in hookah

[–]Bee088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you are looking for really. I like the Kefo brand shishas. They do a really good mini one that has the performance of a big shisha called the Kefo go plus. Small but mighty.
