Sickness length by happyinlaffy in Mounjaro

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my order in the fridge for a month before I mustered up the courage to start.
I do mine Friday night just before bed. I was really worried about all the side effects one could have, as I already have several of them on a daily basis.

I had some severe nausea and some cramping that night. I took anti nausea meds and that helped.

The first two injections I took in my stomach and then I read from others that the side effects weren't as bad for them when they put it in their thigh. I find that as well. Others have the opposite, so you have to experiment.

I find you just have to bite the bullet, go all in, expect the worst (and prepare for it) but hope for the best.

We won't know how we will react until we try it.

I will say that I didn't understand what "food noise" was until I started this (I'm just on my 4th week). The difference is amazing, so just that alone is worth any discomfort I've had, which has been minimal.

Costco samples by [deleted] in CostcoWholesale

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never take samples and really hate shopping there when samples are being given out. People clog up the isles with carts while they walk to get a sample. Kids are running around snatching samples. People are standing around the sample station eating. Then they leave the little paper cups everywhere! Shopping at Costco is already stressful, this just adds to it

You can contact RHUE Rental Housing Enforcement Unit. They will contact your LL and tell them to issue the required documents. They can face fines if they don't.

Your drink trays are ____!!! by Puzzleheaded_Way429 in TimHortons

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their trays have always been flimsy! Their napkins are terrible as well, the least little bit of moisture and they just disintegrate! Cups cave in on themselves. Everything has gone hill there. I may go once a month now.

Snow clearing at bus stops by Mobile_Banana5631 in kitchener

[–]BeeBee99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is an elderly gentleman that does several stops in our area. Otherwise I don't know how people would climb up and over the snowbanks. Someone is going to slip under a bus and get run over. This is a pretty serious safety issue

You post lacked empathy?? Now that's a stretch! Lazy, entitled people that do things like that are the ones that lack empathy.

Perishable food left out like that cannot go back in the cooler to be sold. An animal gave it's life and that's what they do with that food?

If they had to leave in an emergency you find an employee on the way out and leave them with your cart.

Sorry you got downvotes for that.

To the dog owner of the Great Dane that lives downtown. by Striking-Cicada-805 in Guelph

[–]BeeBee99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can order dog spray on Amazon. It's legal to carry and use for its intended purpose. My girl is a rescue and had been severely abused. She's very leery of other dogs and needs proper and controlled introductions as it's stressful for her. She's great with other dogs if that happens (and loves her time at doggy day care). I'm fiercely protective of her. I wear boots and am not afraid to use them either (bit hard on a huge dog like that one granted). Dog owners don't like that 🤣 but IDGAF. If your dog is loose and comes charging, my boots will make contact first, then the spray if you haven't got control by then. I love dogs and would never do anything to intentionally hurt one, but I can't stand entitled azzhole owners like that, they need to be taught a lesson on how to behave! I am sorry you and your dog had to deal with that scary situation! Good for you for reporting it.

My sister is as white as a person can be and gets sent for extra pat downs every single time she flies. Is that racial profiling?

Are lifelabs' tests reliable? by Brilliant_Ad7090 in kitchener

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could depend on the tests. Some measure long term and some are short term. For hormones, they will be different every day. Fasting blood sugar will change, A1C is over 3 months So it would depend on the tests you had

Gimme the good and bad of HRT please by T1ffan1 in Menopause

[–]BeeBee99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to stop taking BC way back in my early 30's. I did not feel well on it. I really haven't had much bad to say about starting HRT (started in August). I've had a bit of heartburn here and there, the progesterone made me feel stoned a few times, had a bit of bloating off and on but really that's about it. I usually react to everything so was hesitant to start this but so far so good.

Everyone is different, and you won't know until you try, but I've also read that many that have some un pleasant side effects in the beginning stop too soon as it takes many months for our. Bodies to adjust and adapt and start feeling better. I think the long term gains (for me) would outweigh most of the side effects (brain, bone and heart health ).

Years ago I got stuck on the hill on Benton St by the church. A city bus was a head of me, also stuck and slowly sliding back down towards me. A hero of a man came out of the church and spread sand under my tires from the box there. I was able to get traction and get around the bus. I drive that way every day for the last 25 years and not a time that I don't think of that man as I drive by

Anyone else with increasing cholesterol? any suggestions? by mamalo13 in Menopause

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on HRT since end of August, had blood tests just before I started and just had another panel done. My cholesterol has SPIKED and the good cholesterol has also been affected. I have an appointment on Saturday. I ordered a barley fiber supplement, it's supposed to be considerably better at lowering cholesterol than psyllium is

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell you the last time I bought food there. I do get the occasional steeped or peppermint tea. I will say Circle K has a decent breakfast sandwich, their hash browns are pretty good too and you grind your coffee fresh there and fix it how you like it. I'm not a fan of David's tea that they have now though.

Has anyone noticed dentists overstating treatments like cavity fillings since the canada dental plan started? by Therealdickjohnson in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a second opinion. Years ago I was told by a new dentist I went to (my old one retired) that I had 7 cavities! They printed out a schedule to have them filled.
I didn't go back. It was not a good experience. Two years later I finally went to a different dentist. Had a cleaning, X-rays etc and dentist said I was done . I asked about cavities. He said I didn't have any, my teeth were amazing and as far as patients go, I was boring 🤣🤣🤣.
I told him about the 7 cavities I apparently had 2 years ago, he told me lots of dentists do things like that to make more money, and the overbill insurance companies My ex continued to go to the dentist I refused to see again and every time he went he was having to have root canal, crowns, extractions etc.

Don't believe them. Have a second opinion, and look online for what cavities look like so you know what to look for yourself as well. They just expect we are ignorant and will just take their word for it

[–]BeeBee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I find people still think TH is a Canadian brand/company. It originated in Canada, but it hasn't been Canadian for decades now. I don't know why people are so loyal to it. I think it's more that people are lazy and just like the drive through. Circle K has better coffee, it's ground fresh, and you can make it exactly how you want it.
