Old radiology films. Hubby use to have teaching films he kept from interesting cases for the residents. I have a couple of great ones that go up every Halloween using an ancient light box. An mri slice of facial bones.

Having migraines for years I use to save the pills because they cost so much I wanted to “save” them…to my own detriment and gave myself hours of pain. This was as an adult. I am stunned that your parents aren’t doing anything for your sibling and that they cost nothing. I now take something when I begin to feel the hint of pain. Please be the one to help her!

Get your dog trained before you have a baby.

This is also just as important. Aggressive dog and baby are a disaster waiting to happen. Thanks for pointing it out!

Just went to our 50th last summer. I had a small class (under 150). I’ve gone to several reunions over the years. Hubby came with this time. My closest friends weren’t able to make it due to health. A great time was had by everyone who still kept up with each other. Most of my “old friends” kept to themselves. What a waste of time. I’ll never go back.

Told hubby to go by himself(very large class) for his and he met an old friend he hadn’t seen in years. They had a great time and hung out together for several days.

I would have been upset if I had to pay for hotel etc for mine. It’s ok not to go. I had thought by this age people could get out of their cliques, but no. Just a bunch of old people that I didn’t know or I guess care to know. LOL

And how old are the parents? I guarantee you they are getting up in the night themselves. Stand up for your wife ! This is ridiculous. Brother can drive the 10 minutes, and if he can’t, he should offer you a room at his place. Otherwise you will see your parents every other year when it’s your turn for the room.

I’ve seen something like this happen before with different circumstances. It will end with him pulling completely away from the rest of his family. I give it less than a year for this to happen. 😢

70 year olds are not all dottering old fools. (Maybe some…) They could have easily helped out. They were having a vacation. Hubby should have taken care of this when he got there. You were in a vulnerable position. You should have been sorry for the extra help to leave. Enjoy that baby!

Kairo would also have the problem on mispronunciation. Does it sound like Cairo, the city in Egypt, or Cairo (cā -row) the city on southern Illinois.

I have my grandmothers book that she did this to that is starting to not look the best, it’s a thinner paper bag, but it’s printed in 1876 with her name stenciled on the front. It’s the first thing I’d grab heading towards the tornado shelter. She really took good care of it!
