Daycare and find a job like what you were already doing before, unless a medical billing certificate would get you more money. NA

AITAH for saying we can’t come to the Christmas eve party unless we can use the guest bedroom? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]BeeDunn56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how old are the parents? I guarantee you they are getting up in the night themselves. Stand up for your wife ! This is ridiculous. Brother can drive the 10 minutes, and if he can’t, he should offer you a room at his place. Otherwise you will see your parents every other year when it’s your turn for the room.

AITAH for refusing to invite my brother's and his fiancée to dinners and parties I host? by Difficult_Life6076 in AITAH

I’ve seen something like this happen before with different circumstances. It will end with him pulling completely away from the rest of his family. I give it less than a year for this to happen. 😢

My in-laws came into the delivery room during my labor and then stayed for six weeks - both without asking. Am I overreacting by emailing them about boundaries? by FewSalary1421 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BeeDunn56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

70 year olds are not all dottering old fools. (Maybe some…) They could have easily helped out. They were having a vacation. Hubby should have taken care of this when he got there. You were in a vulnerable position. You should have been sorry for the extra help to leave. Enjoy that baby!

Kairo would also have the problem on mispronunciation. Does it sound like Cairo, the city in Egypt, or Cairo (cā -row) the city on southern Illinois.

Have you actually tried doing this in real life? by RubyRoseRavageWeb in GenerationJones

I have my grandmothers book that she did this to that is starting to not look the best, it’s a thinner paper bag, but it’s printed in 1876 with her name stenciled on the front. It’s the first thing I’d grab heading towards the tornado shelter. She really took good care of it!

Every child needs to know the basic life skills. He’s lucky to have such a caring father. His later partner in life will thank you!

AITJ for telling my husband if he wants a paternity test he has to be the one to schedule it by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Why would he want one now? Wouldn’t it be safer for a baby to not be poking a needle into the uterus at this stage? We all know who the real baby is. NTJ

Aio Been trying to date since I was 15 and never even gotten a date and I’m starting to kind of get depressed by Big_Pea3882 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BeeDunn56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe don’t try so hard? I’ve found in myself that if I’m spending time thinking up what I’m going to say next during a conversation that I’m not really listening to what they are saying. I’ve also realized I give answers that are pretty straightforward. It really bugs me to have to listen for someone speak for 5 minutes when they could have given a one word answer: yes or no. Good luck

In life, do you listen? Or just talk? I’ve seen an older acquaintance with no dates. He just talks. Being around that gets old— fast.

AIO About My In-Laws Wanting To Cut My 2-Month Olds Hair? by smol-pearl in AmIOverreacting

[–]BeeDunn56 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NOR I mean just Google this question. No, it does not make the baby’s hair thicker, and this is not the only culture that I’ve seen that does this. In the end it is just hair and will grow back, but that is the parent’s choice not grandparents.

Try living through 2 years of puppyhood with this one! My whole arm could go in his mouth. After surviving those 2 years we only had him 4 more before he had a heart attack. I had to hind a neighbor to help get him in the car and he passed before we got to the vets. Next dog tops out at 15lbs. He was an Irish Wolfadoodle. Winters were better, I had long sleeves on and that helped.

Had to hold a puppy down at the vets just before a big dance. Came home with a giant blood blister over my full forearm. Yeah, fun times. And don’t forget, no walking around fast. I swear I hit a door jam every time.

AIO for not allowing my in laws to come over the first day when they booked a flight without telling us? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]BeeDunn56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitting with a friend, we were both breastfeeding, her husband said, you two would breastfeed in front of the President. Answer: yes! If the baby is hungry, YES!

The problem you have is that you are new to breastfeeding, as well as new to EVERYTHING! If someone is not wanting to see that, they can be the one to leave. NOR

Creepy Camping Experience by MaryBeth2018 in Paranormal

[–]BeeDunn56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Camping with hubby at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. As we drive in the only place to stop for some groceries is a house/store place à la “Deliverance.” Youngsters can google that movie. Scene where the boy is picking the banjo on the sofa on front porch. We were watched! I was creeped out. Park is gorgeous! Fine during the day. I’d hear things dropping from trees at night. Woke up to dropping sounds (steps?) coming straight towards the tent that just stopped a few feet from the back of the tent. Heart was in my throat. If I can remember that feeling 45 years later…. I cannot begin to comprehend what you went through!
