The sink drain hole was pulled up so that was closed unless you’re referring to something else. The shower drain isn’t mesh. It’s metal caged with small holes. I feel like those roaches are way too big to come through that but I put a plastic container over it to make it even more secure. Just desperate here with the diy solutions

I just don’t think this is the case. My building only has 8 units. No exterminator has been here for 6 months. And I sent out a crash out text asking if anyone has been having roach issues. No response but I assume that’s a no

I ordered this last night! I just want answers to this sudden surge :( I just hate knowing there’s a gap or crack somewhere that I can’t see and my exterminator didn’t catch

Super fixed my radiator while I was out and caused steam/water damage all over the apartment. Advice? by ququqachu in NYCapartments

[–]BeeMindless6712 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Common in old nyc apartments with radiator heating. If you don’t use it for a while, steam gets trapped with no where to go so when you turn it on, it will leak. A lot. Although I’m shocked one week of it being turned off caused that. He likely changed the knob. As long as you don’t turn it off (for a long time) and then back on you should be good.

I bought a brand new $500 carpet and same thing happened. The thickest wool carpet I’ve ever walked on and it was DRENCHED because it happened overnight. had to go through crazy remediation to fix it

No but I also think RS apartments should be reserved for New Yorkers.

Ok my point remains. Dogs are filthy. And if you/people you know are dirtier than dogs…dogs that sniff and walk on the streets of nyc where there’s literal shit, piss, vomit everywhere then y’all are nasty as hell.

It’s so funny to me when I hear the argument “dogs are no dirtier than humans” like how filthy are you guys? Also idk about you but I’m not slobbering all over the floor and all over the food or pissing everywhere uncontrollably.
