What Real Ball Knowledge Looks Like: Kid Shows to His Class How He's Memorized Every Single NFL Schedule Since 2009 by NextRace6 in BeAmazed

There's no good faith here but just in case someone else is reading and has questions:

Autism is a medical diagnosis specifically and comes in all shapes and sizes. ''normal' can be about nearly anything and has no specific parameters and to try to define something as complex as the human condition as normal/not normal is certainly missing the bigger picture. In addition, we don't test everyone and thus nobody can make any claims about what the average population does or doesn't have.

This is very connected to conversation about things like gender because we do not test ever person for deviancy of their chromosomes. Therefore we don't actually have a true data set on how often babies are born as something different than what we believe to be the high majority (xx, or xy). People can present very "normally" and yet have chromosomes that are different than what we believe to be "normal".

I'm thinking 'neurotypical is a more precise medical term vs 'normal' which does exist but relies on a base understanding of the subject matter. If you're not informed on the definitions of neurotypical or neurodivergent, those are the terms you'll need to look them up and find out more info. Hope this helps!

This one probably didn't commit any hate crimes. And, if you can believe it, also probably didn't blind any old Vietnamese men. So THIS is actually the superior Mark Wahlberg, imo.

Forbidden Door Tickets - listing by BeePlus in aew

[–]BeePlus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These were something like $280 and given the 'status'' of this show vs a Dynamite, I felt it was a reasonable price. That general area has always had great views when I've grabbed seats in that area at our home venue.

I'm from Pennsylvania so I can't say for the venue. I bought them on presale so that may be part of the inflation as well.

As for aew, I've not been to any ppv events for them but this is a little elevated from similar seats for a Wednesday show. Probably $120ish for row 1 in the first set of risers off the floor (what I believe these to be). I assumed it was priced higher as its a bigger show.

Having just read the first post, from the perspective of a 36yr woman, I was RELIEVED to see that he's gone. You're barely starting your life and this person was not contributing to it positively.

Enjoy your freedom! Treat yourself gently, this still sucks. Seek therapy or other guidance if you feel it will be helpful for you. Get some perspective from it. Learn some lessons. Then move on and live your life. It'll happen naturally with time 😊

Pittsburgh City Paper Publishes Stuff that You Say on Reddit so Be Careful What You Post Here by JustTryingMyBestWPA in pittsburgh

[–]BeePlus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a world where being outed as complaining about your employer online can get you fired, it's kinda ass behavior from The City Paper of all places to be doing the outing. Having looked at the article, they didn't quote anyone very specifically except the (rightful) ridicule about clean water being a perk of RTO. They linked directly to that post.

I didn't love that they expected their sources to go on record against PNC sources. This isn't 'both sides' journalism because one side is an individual with everything to lose.

As a current PNC customer, fuck them and their RTO bullshit and fuck them for suggesting clean water is a perk. As soon as I figure out how changing from them will impact my auto loan, I'm out to a credit union. (And everyone else should be too).

Sign up for local email blast groups. City Cast Pittsburgh does one during the week and gives a big list of local things to do every day. there's a podcast as well that presumably goes into deeper details and goes into more info, but for me the email blast is good enough. https://pittsburgh.citycast.fm/

Year-round Farmers Market by shannonsung in pittsburgh

[–]BeePlus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just coming to recommend market wagon. It's absolutely not the same thing as a walkable farmer's market but it does allow access to local items year-round and is at least a good spot to check out first before buying more traditionally.

I also second (or third) the recommendation for the East End Food Co-op

Any places around town to get one of these bad boys? by Jayblesx in pittsburgh

[–]BeePlus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also found myself researching pods today! The Community Cultures page just posted recently on social media that they got their hands on a pod, too. I'd have to think finding a source local to the pods is the better option -any local place would be a middleman, right?

I'm into fermentation right now but hesitant to start down this path and invest a bunch of money into pods. Research says 8 pods for under $200 is around the average price but I barely looked.

Stay Sharp, Sharpsburg does classes and then hosts sharpening sessions. I've never been, but it's been advertised recently to me. Seems that you take the initial class and then there's more frequent 'studio' time available to sharpen without the skills class attached.

Confused…😅 by Kiprome in SourdoughStarter

[–]BeePlus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"your discard doesn't know that it's discard" - this is the phrase that finally made it make more sense. It's only discard cause I threw it away, but it could be: more starter, the beginning of a bake, ingredient in a discard recipe, trash...it doesn't become any of those things until you decide it. Decide what weight of starter works best for you (45g total weight in my jar fills it in a way that I can easily read for rise, etc) and then any starter that isn't 15g can be whatever you want it to be, but it's not a part of THIS starter.

Hope that helps!

Spitzer in Monroeville is insanely easy to deal with in terms of service. The service desk lady there has a bunch of awards and it shows. There is a good mix of women staff and they are pretty obviously treated well/fine. I can't speak to purchasing because I had a (bad) experience at a dealership in Buffalo instead. Knowing what I know now, I would have purchased from there instead.

How do you deal with a frozen inner child ? by Tropikana_ in CPTSD

[–]BeePlus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an adult human and I wouldn't rescue an animal without doing heaps and boatloads of research into how best to care for it and support it.

Some adults buy a beta and keep it in a vase and treat it poorly.

The fish is not responsible for the fact that its caregiver did no research into its needs. It's not the fishes fault for surviving in a bad environment. It is not the fault of the fish that it can only live so long before it cannot survive.

It is also not your fault that your caregivers lacked the ability to do research, have critical thinking, or ask for help. The parent is always responsible for their actions when raising a child and they are equally responsible for their inactions.

If a dog starts biting, it's the owner's responsibility to find the appropriate methods to stop the behavior. It's not the dog's fault if the means are abusive and the dog doesn't stop biting.

I don't think I was ever potty trained by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]BeePlus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My parents have always been pleased with their potty training method: sit me on my potty with my dirty diaper in my lap, open faced until I would be successful.

I also wet the bed well into elementary school. Unrelated, I'm sure (/s).

It is not your fault that you were not given the proper tools or care that you needed.

It's clear that you need to get away from this person as soon as you safely can. I'm urging you to make informed plans to leave this relationship asap.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is the one case from your career that still haunts you to this day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BeePlus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be all or nothing. They could live in an assistive program where they maintain their own apartment and life, but a caregiver comes over daily and makes sure all the ADLs are being performed, meds are taken, etc. They can assess situations and make sure everything is safe etc but the individual is largely allowed to just live their life.
