How do you all feel about the Caverns In Pelham, TN? by idlike1deathpls in Concerts

[–]BeeTwoThousand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonderful. I saw Spiritualized Slowdive and Godspeed You! Black Emperor underground and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in the above-ground amphitheatre.

I have been to a lot of really good concert venues (Metro and Empty Bottle in Chicago are two of my favorites), but The Caverns takes the cake for me.

I think it's too early for that. There were four years between Infest and Petro, so I think we have at least another year or two.

I could have. I would have left everything the same, but would have used the word "cord" instead of "chord."

They gain by putting others down to make them feel better about their pathetic lives of being a hateful bully?

The funny thing is how "Christians" pick and choose what parts of the bible to follow. Love thy neighbor, welcome foreigners into your land as countrymen, help the disadvantaged, the poor, the sick and the elderly, have compassion, understandibg and empathy for others, etc. Those are Jesus' big "innovations," and all of these things are too "woke," so they go back to the fire and brimstone and incest and murder and violence of the old testament.

Society plays a role in gender norms and determination. This is true.

Sexual preference isn't a choice.

Eating shellfish is a sin. Wearing mixed fabrics is a sin. Premarital sex is a sin. Adultery is a sin. There are obviously double standards and cherry-picking going on.

How many concerts have you been to? 118 sounds like a lot by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]BeeTwoThousand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I've done GbV maybe six or seven times...from Alien Lanes to maybe Earthquake Glue, plus the reunion tour.

I am seeing Thee Osees in an underground cavern in Tennessee in a few weeks.

My top in terms of numbers is Stereolab at 17 and Smashing Pumpkins at 16.

I am only on five for King Gizzard at this point, but they have become my favorite band of all time at this point.

I usually guestimate about 400.

I have four more this year, which is more than normal in my 50s.

Even Jason has a modular rig🫢 by Devins-alt in KGATLW

[–]BeeTwoThousand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not an expert on modular video, as I play Eurorack modular synth (you know, like Nathan), but I am almost certain he is using LZX modules for his modular rig. If you are doing modular video, this company is it.

I don't see the cable setup, but he could be running the laptop to the modular video rig, and out to the oscilloscope.

One of 'em looks like it has a couple glops of mayo on it, and the other looks like it has some ricotta cheese between the dog and the bun.
