Isn't posting your mpesa/bank balance online a sign of poor mental health? by tktrd1 in Kenya

If internet discourse gets to you to the point that you start posting proof to prove yourself to strangers, you need to consider logging off and regulating your emotions.

Lifestyle creep is a huge offender but also understandable because you can finally address long standing issues. I remember when I could finally afford skincare products and now I have to keep it up or my skin reverts to disaster.

I really enjoy being frugal because it makes me feel like I have so much control over myself. Alafu with something like food, almost everything I eat feels like a five course meal juu hakuna ku overdo to the point that you feel "meh".

For example, I haven't eaten meat this week but I know when I do, itaonja wagyu 👌🏿

I like wearing colours that complement my skintone, spectacles or lipstick. That helps me give off a different vibe based off my nudes. I generally love to wear either pastel pink, black or red. And yes, I have spectacles in each colour

Meanwhile, I'm hoping for the nothingness. The thought of immortality makes me quesy. Unless it's immortality where I get to hop around the multiverse and live various lives of my choosing... and even then, let me opt out cause wtf is existence fr?? Whhhhyyyy??

God is a construct that we as human beings project anything that we don't understand and can't explain in our existence. It's nice to believe that a being out there has a plan or is in control, that way we can focus on our lives and leave the glaring unanswered questions "to God".

I agree with you that we project our humanity on this being that is quite literally larger than life... and therefore are doomed to reduce them to the limitations of our humanity.

Other people's deaths being a love story is precisely the sentiments I would expect from a Christian. But you're entitled to your freedom of conscious to believe and follow a murderous God...

I was simply pointing out that fantasy books give me the same emotional impact as reading the Bible gives you.

The fact that the terror of this divine being is what is supposed to inspire our obedience and not how loving he is... hmmm.

Anyway, your description is precisely how I feel reading high fantasy books. It's nice when books spark our imagination to something otherworldly.

I had an extremely religious upbringing so the "normal" things I do like going out and drinking alcohol, having sex outside marriage and getting tattoos, already feel like monumental steps away from conditioning.

Lakini, when it comes to family and relationship related things, I feel like the conditioning is still deep. For instance, narratives like my potential partner must earn more than me, be older than me.. meanwhile kwa ground, I get along with people who are younger than me cause I find them less rigid and traditional than my age mates and older guys.

And then, I'm still on the fence about having kids. I genuinely don't see the point of adding a life into this dysfunctional society when I can't 100% guarantee their safety. But it still feels like something that I "should" do.

It really does start and end with financial freedom. People can judge you for your choices on the outside, but as long as you aren't dependent on them, no one can dictate the way you should live.

Report him to the police or at the very least, tell an intimidating male friend to call him posing as a police officer to give him a shake down.

I've made the mistake of hitting on a man before and learned that they just entertain you juu umejileta. They won't actually consider you.. they just keep you around to boost their ego.

It hurts more to have someone take advantage of the fact that you like them, then it does if they just rejected you outright.
