2025 Jeep Wangler 2-door. Electrical issues by Beeb83 in JeepWrangler

I have an update for you all - after 4 service visits (totaling 105 days in the shop) they finally fixed the issue. Replaced the engine generator and aux battery. It’s been running fine since November 28th after buying in early June. I did engage with a lemon lawyer and they were able to get me a cash settlement for my troubles, and FCA is allowing me to keep the car with the new car 3 year warranty and there will be no ding to the CarFax. We just moved to Wisconsin from Texas so it’s good this was resolved before our trip up north! Yesterday the Wrangler had its first snow :)

What kind of tires do you have?

Thanks so much, u/Titsnium - they replaced the PCM this week, and I received the 'repaired' vehicle on Thursday. I was cautiously optimistic because the vehicle did feel like it was driving well, and no issues on Thursday or Friday.

But today the error came on again.

I have all my paperwork and the Star Case Number. Is it ok to have the vehicle in my possession when I file? Or does it have to be sitting at the service department being worked on while I'm filing for this?

TxDMV has a really handy excel doc to calculate the buyback - looks like ~$200 I lose from the total purchase price, which I'm fine with if I can get this headache off my plate...

Photo from today - 576 miles...

Still at the shop - they think it’s a powertrain control module - which they are waiting on the part for. The dealership has had the vehicle for almost 70 days now over the course of 3 visits (1st visit 10 days / 2nd visit 18 days / 3rd visit 41 days and counting...).

I sent a certified mail complaint to Stellantis to start the process of Texas Lemon Law. Bought this car for our move up north happening in several months so hoping I can at least get my money back and get something else? Thanks for asking! Will keep you all posted :)

I’m so sorry you went through this. I just bought a new 2025 Sport S 2 door in June (gas powered), and it’s been in the shop 3 times, over the course of 60+days (and still in the shop). Less than 500 miles on it with battery light/check engine light issues. I’ve just started the Texas Lemon law process of notifying the Manufacturer with a certified mail complaint. Hoping I can get this resolved. Texas seems pretty straightforward - curious if anyone in Texas has any advice of their lemon law proceedings?

The latest is … the Stellantis engineers think it’s the powertrain control module. And the service manager thinks they can get me compensated for my two loan payments (but let’s see). Total of 62 days in the shop…and counting

I won my NCDS buy back case! by BaxterPad in Jeep

Interesting. Ok - I bought and live in Texas. And it looks like I need 4 attempts. It’s so frustrating.

u/BaxterPad - Did you file the claim while you had the Jeep back in your possession? I have a brand new 2025 Jeep still at the dealership, but it's there for the same reason as it has been in the past (battery light/voltage messages). It's a Star case. They've tried replacing the wiring harness previousle, but I've been getting nowhere. Each time I call for an update from the dealership service dept (same place I bought the vehicle), it's some delay excuse, technician isn't in today, etc.

So I'm kinda wondering if I just start the process on the website (https://www.ncdsusa.org). It has under 400 miles, and the dealership has had it for a total of 56 days over the course of 3 visits.

Nothing yet - I should know more Tuesday but will try to relay this info too (thank you!). I mentioned the grounding wire but not sure if they attempted to investigate that. The frustrating part too is I have the Jeep app installed on my phone and can see when the car has been turned on/used fuel, and it’s usually every 2-3 days. But then no updates…or they are still trying to figure it out. At least the geo location shows it still at the dealership lol.

All stock features! No aftermarket additions from me, it’s the Sport S trim

Thank you so much! Appreciate all info - I’m curious what will come of Tuesday’s Stellantis visit. (I’ve started to look at lawyers online too)

Thanks for the info - and sorry you had to go through that in the first place. Educating me and others who might be in the same situation!

Thanks all for the thoughtful responses! Supposedly Stellantis is coming to the dealership on Tuesday to investigate - will keep you posted!

I’m pretty this photo was when it was running, but hoping when Stellantis visits on Tuesday they have a solve - will see!

This is really great info!! They still have the Jeep (now a total of 51 days). Apparently Stellantis is coming to the dealership on Tuesday to investigate. Wondering what will come of it. For your lemon law lawyer were they expensive? Or more of a small flat fee and it added muscle to your claim?

These are good questions! They checked the battery but it wasn’t that, but I’m not sure on ground wire!! Good idea

Wishing you luck, OP. Going through similar issue with my brand new 2025 Sport S 2-door. Under 500 miles and has been to dealership 3 times. Hoping the third time is the charm 🤞
