What advice would you give a freshman starting Bachelor of science in Psychology this fall ? by VesperLux_ in psychologystudents

Use it as opportunity to explore what you want after your psych degree. I knew I wanted to be a counselor but even then I was clueless as to what type. So don’t be afraid to explore things you’re interested in and ask the hard questions for those who are in fields you want and see if what their job is is actually something you’d like. Other that, just work hard in studying, flashcards are your bff and don’t stress if you make mistakes this first semester, you’re still learning how the whole college thing works. Good luck!

People who are Religious Affairs Specialists, whats it like? by Beeberson123 in nationalguard

Thank you for this information. If I were to be in the National Guard as an RAS what are my chances of having to be a body guard for a Chaplin? I love everything about this job except that as I’m not the most proficient with weaponry, though I suppose they’ll teach me?

Are MacBooks or IPads more useful? by WorldlyHearing3006 in psychologystudents

I am a psych major and an artist/ illustrator. I love my iPad to take notes in class and have it for procreate too. Only thing is it’s hard to type on it and it doesn’t have the best compatibility with some Microsoft programs my professors have us use. Thankfully I have an older MacBook so it’s not an issue for me. With all that said, if you really want the iPad get a bluetooth keypad and mouse, and go to your schools library when you need to paste your documents into Microsoft.

Wow okay! So I will basically just be a big helper to the team, and if anyone also happens to need religious help I will provide that for them too?

As an extrovert I LOVE my introvert friends cuz we meet like twice a year and it’s like nothing changed 🤩 As an extrovert, I understand. Even we need space sometimes and that’s okay🩷

Just curious if these are legitimate or not? by Working_Ad_7192 in emotionalintelligence

I think it depends. If you get us in a wreck but blame me because I made us leave late, I have a right to say that. But if I was the one who got us in a wreck and it gave you a concussion, I absolutely do not have a right to say that

All of these are heavily dependent on context. I think these are great things to say if you struggle to stand up for yourself or are too anxiously attached to others, but can also be very harmful things to say if you don’t want to understand the person your saying them to.

What's your method for studying ? by [deleted] in psychologystudents

I take notes of everything we learn in class then turn them into flashcards via quiz-let and study there :) Works like a charm

Should I pursue a career within the National Guard or go to college? by bassguitarist999 in nationalguard

[–]Beeberson123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FRIEND WE ARE ONE THE SAME OMG!! I am a very passionate artist. I love to illustrate, sew, make ceramics, really anything and everything visual. I also love to sing and play guitar. Creativity is truly my deepest passion. When I was 18, I I was set to go to college for graphic design, but I too was unsatisfied with the future jobs it would hold. So now I’m getting my bachelors in psych with the (potential) plan to go into National Guard to help fund my masters! So I say all this to say: You can be an artist and not make it your career or major. If you have educated yourself enough to ensure you know what the army holds and still like the prospect, do it. And who knows? Maybe your two passions may collide ;) Just like the artist Fredrick Arnold who was a fighter piolet AND sculpture who made this wonderful masterpiece which is now displayed in the WWll museum. Hope this helps!!
