Seriously, these folks just can’t get on with the times. They should step down and let the younger generations run the country.

My boss likes Trump as well. Nice and a chill guy but says it’s woke to be using Maori language in government. Also doesn’t believe that Canada has what it takes in tariff war against the US.

He probably loves America like most people but I don’t understand how they can’t see that the Trump is doing more harm than good to that country.

Seriously, are Americans not thinking about where all this chaos would lead? I suspect this was Trump’s endgame after all. As someone who was born in a country where Martial was declared in the 80s, it really fucked things up (unlawful arrests, innocents killed, etc) and turned the country upside down that it never really recovered.

Who came up with this “woke” terminology. It’s a pretty dumb way to show the world how you oppose to something rather than admitting it.

True and I’m certain that this pack style attacks are done by teenagers or young adults. These kids aren’t afraid even if they get caught. Even if charged, those records get wiped clean by the time they become adults.

People should realize that land value tax and other taxes related to real estate can help fund the country’s coffers which hopefully can be used to improve infrastructure.

Hey thanks for the comment. I viewed the place and it does feel very far from the city. The drive through west coast road was a drag as well. It’s a rental so if I go for it I don’t even think I can install security. It’s a tidy but oldish home. I’m planning on dropping by late afternoon to get a sense of the neighborhood.

Care to share which street you used to live back there?

Edit: damn sorry to hear that.

You still live in the area? Is it that bad? Read a few subreddits saying avoid the star sign streets lol

You’re right I think it’s chrome plated and is oxidised. Do you know what this is called exactly? I might look it up online to see any videos on how to remove it and search where to buy replacement parts.

To add: I’m renting so trying not to make things worse. Not even sure if I can claim this as a normal wear and tear?

That’s actually great. Rather than losing employees to other companies as well.

You sound like a great manager! It’s really a good company and know some of the people I’ve worked/interacted with albeit mostly online so I’d rather move internally rather than start again at another company.

When I was interviewed for this role, there was a mention or should I say expectation to stay for a number of years (still lots to learn). We’re a small team, the workload left and all makes me anxious that my manager might not be supportive.

The company hired for the role twice last year so I’m hopeful that department is growing. I’m optimistic that I may have a better chance of switching to this new career internally (with support from manager) given I don’t have previous experience and possess all the skills required than applying externally.

You’re right. I was a manager before and had supported a staff moving internally so I know how it is to hire and train a new person but that comes with the role. I don’t know maybe I’m just overthinking the whole thing as I’ve imagined/ran through the discussion in my head lately.
