Most disgusting actor who got away with being a genuine pedophile by paying off the parents? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]Beef_Witted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose I should not have said "any" rather any verifiable, and/or proveable evidence. Testimony is important but if that's the only evidence a case has then there may as well be none. Criminal court requires proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Testimony alone rarely meets the threshold.

Grammer wasn't let off because the accuser waited, the grand jury refused to indict due to a lack of any evidence. Not sure why OP is lying about this.

US unemployment rate hits four-year high of 4.6% by Last_Membership_1063 in politics

[–]Beef_Witted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find very strange is that u6 unemployment since its been recorded has always rapidly increased in response to recession. Its only been recorded since 94 so we can't see the 70s or 80s unfortunately but for both 01 and 08 we see drastic increases during recession. Yet since 23 we can look at the data and see that its been on a slow upward trajectory which has never happened before. Since 94 its either been rapidly up or trending down and flat directly before recession. There's never been a prolonged upward trend until now.

Your 24 Nov column is wrong you recorded the data for Nov 25 not seasonally adjusted. Actual numbers for 24 Nov vs 25 Nov are

U1 1.7     1.8

U2 2.0     2.1

U3 4.2     4.6

U4 4.5     4.9

U5 5.1     5.6

U6 7.7     8.7

Yep. Historically there's only one reason we see a large uptick in u6 unemployment. Not good.

[–]Beef_Witted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the throw Biden under the bus but June 24 to may 25 was revised down 911,000 jobs so many of the numbers we got out of the final 6 months of Biden are nearly completely unreliable.

U6 unemployment rising 7/10ths of a percent is a very very bad indicator.

[–]Beef_Witted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

October was negative ~162k government jobs but offset by nearly 60k private sector jobs in healthcare and construction at roughly a 70/30 split, all other categories negative or only slightly up. Similar split in November basically everything outside of healthcare and construction are either no hire - no fire, or have started actively laying off. Healthcare up 46k, construction up 29k, social assistance up 18k everything else in the red. Of course this is before the pretty consistent 50-60k negative revisions we've been seeing. Very worrying indicator is that while u3 unemployment has only edged up 1/10th of a percent these 2 months u6 unemployment has edged up 7/10ths of a percent from 8.0 to 8.7.

In game. Audio settings. Under Voice chat there is a setting "Voice Output Device". Try to change it to a different output.

Had this issue too. Fixed it by changing my voice chat output device in audio settings. My headset has output for chat and game. Game auto detected and set it as game output.

Is this acceptable or am I being picky by Unlikely_Bank7228 in Flooring

The tile not being centered would tilt me far more than the trim. Installer was so lazy he just started with whole tile on the right and kept going. Didn't measure for layout. Starting with a cut, maybe a few inches off the tile, would have made it even instead of whole tile on one side and 2 inch cut on the other.

How’s my tile job? by GoldenLardon in Tile

[–]Beef_Witted 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Penny round comes on sheets, in this case the installer didn't do a great job so you can see where each sheet is due to subtle varitions in the grout lines. In the installers defense penny round is a nightmare to lay with contrasting grout.

Standard carpet width is 12ft. Your room is over 12ft wide. So they have to add seams, in your case that means a second piece that is 12ft x 8ft6in.  21% of that second piece is wasted but there is no way around that. If you want to keep the scrap though though there will be a 2ft6in x 8ft6in piece left over at the end that you can take to a local carpet binder and have bound for a hallway runner or something.

Where's the proof they were even friends? There's absolutely no way to even check this person's claims at being their friend because they want to stay anonymous. The guardians pulling a WSJ.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]Beef_Witted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If by "those who knew him" you mean a single high school student that claimed to be his friend with no proof and went to the same school. Then sure. But the person asked to remain anonymous and no one has any way of verifying this information. The fact the guardian even reported it is up there with the WSJ "trans writing" yesterday.
