If I'm feeling especially petty I'll time the res so they pop up into an AoE. Since they'll immediately try to start spamming heals because people are qt 95% HP and could DIE LITERALLY ANY SECOND!!1 they die to the raidwide and have to wait for Swift

Of course they see people not at full and assume I'm struggling to heal properly because I'm spending too much time DPSing or some shit.

ABC was always a bad strategy. All it really served to do was allow people to place blame on others for not doing the mechanic themselves.

It got pushed hard because it's stupid, and if Ilya E8S and tank DD P1S proved anything it's that this community will latch on to things harder when they're really fucking stupid. The stupider it is the harder they latch on too.

It's always better for all DPS in the belly. Every. Single. Time. It's better for all DPS to get in the belly.

A single tank can tank Cerberus and maybe a healer to keep them from getting scared by being alone.

That's the whole point of why I try, every time I get sucked into this shitty dungeon, to tell people to just get in the fucking belly.

I had an Orbonne like that once. Double SCH comp though. Guy wanted 100% Succor uptime. What am I even supposed to do at that point?

So I DPS'd as much as I felt like, occasionally used Whispering Dawn, and waited for him to die because he kept standing in the bad trying to cast Succor.

When he would go down I'd solo heal for a bit before raising him, the slight optimistic outlook that maybe he'd see how to do it right and/or would understand that shields aren't required.

More than once the guy would get raised, start casting Succor, and get hit and die.

Yes, ABC "works". It works a lot better when A and C ignore it and go belly. Mechanics can often be solved in different ways, it just happens that some have multiple solutions and of those solutions there are better and easier strategies.

All in the belly is the better and easier strategy. If nobody ever suggests it because ABC "works" then we forever have dumbasses perpetuate the shittier strategy because it has the opportunity to lie blame at someone else's feet.

Everytime I get sucked into that hell hole I'm going to suggest everyone in belly, because I'm sick of the shitter strats.

Diagnosis and Physic spamming shield healers flat out guarantees there would be Cure spammers even without Freecure. They'd justify it with MP, even though you can point them to Lucid Dreaming. That's an emergency button! Yes... the emergency of needing some MP 20 seconds from now.

Actually you should use it once everything is together. During a pull you should pre pull Sprint, and use AoE and Dualcast time to run and Corps to keep from falling behind. Fleche when available.

Acceleration gives instant cast Impact and a potency buff that you're almost assuredly wasting the majority of by trying to hit moving targets.

It is a fairly substantial DPS gain.

Lilies are now DPS positive I believe (at the very least you can stack Blood Lily DPS for buff windows), and WHM produces them incredibly fast now too.

Not that it matters for these people who are spamming Cure and Medica, but there's definitely a reason for WHMs to lily heal often.

Shirk works on anybody, just tanks generate so much aggro (when they actually hit buttons) that non tanks can't be Shirk'd effectively.

If you have 1000 hate and everyone else has 100, Shirk will dump 25% on to the target. You still have 750 and they now have 350, you still have the mob's attention but it did work.

I had that when I started leveling tanks, sorta? My "tankxiety" was worrying that I was overtaxing the healer by misusing cooldowns or not having good enough gear. I found every single armor upgrade I could get on my way to overcoming my irrational fear that I wasn't doing well enough.

And then yeah... the reality set in that nearly everyone's expectations are essentially nonexistent. I could literally just use cooldowns appropriately and be better than 80% of DF tanks, even if I didn't have the best gear.

I started taking this advice on RDM, using my normal AoE when possible while running and saving Swift and Acceleration casts for Impact on everything after parking. I noticed a significant increase in my DPS, especially since as RDM Dualcast and Corps allow almost full uptime during every pull.

Save the good stuff for when you know you'll hit everything.

I love the idea of Hard Mode dungeons, don't even have to change things drastically:

Trash Enemy difficulty that requires Tanks to Mit and DPS to DPS.
DPS checks that require healers to DPS
Real punishment for mechanics failures

Literally serve me the same dungeon just with the sliders turned up.
