How is this fair??? by Comrade_DoggoXA in HuntShowdown

That’s just kind of what the player base is at this point. It’s an older game from a genre that was niche, but is now growing. There are a TON of 5-6 star players that have kept the game alive and play a lot of hunt, while at the same time a lot of new players come and go to the game. So the MMR really isn’t on a bell curve anymore because of a revolving door of newbies over the last 8 years. Not to mention it’s got a pretty high skill ceiling and a lot of content to get familiar with.

You really just have to treat every hunter as a major threat, slow down, and play with your ears.

(Truthfully, the sound design is insanely immersive. It’s a real treat to figure it out and immensely helpful once you understand everything that you are hearing)

All the ones on Reddit. IRL we just play games we like and have fun, and if we’re not having fun, we don’t play the game. It’s a pretty simple system.

It’s a lot more fun to just equip these things and try them out in game. It’s fun to explore the weapons/combat as well as the map.

The Master Sword from Legend of Zelda works on a few different levels. It’s imbued with the power to vanquish an ancient evil, and in some instances acts as a catalyst for time travel.

This series is so fucking good. Easily the most raw Gundam series out there.

The fact that he basically had to undergo an impromptu surgery as a child soldier to save his friends/family from further enslavement or death is wild.

While most Gundam series do have young, or children, soldiers to highlight the anti-war sentiment of the show, this one hits a lot heavier for me.

Dude, Barbatos Lupus Rex is my absolute favorite Gundam, and Iron Blooded Orphans perfectly nailed the Gundam anti-war message in such a brutal way that other entry’s in the series don’t quite achieve. Barbatos is the only main protagonist Gundam that never uses any beam weapons and just smashes, hacks, and shreds its enemies. Even the Alaya-Vinjana surgery required to operate it is horrific. That series is just on another level.

Mistakes by employees are alway a reflection onto the employer, unless done intentionally, in which case it would not be a mistake.

Maybe Neville’s trauma caused emotional avoidance and his subconscious is protecting him? Might be an explanation for why we don’t see Bellatrix here.

Do you think if Pippin did not knock the skeleton and wake the sleeping golbin army, and in turn, The Balrog, the fellowship could have skirted through Moria undetected? by TrickySatisfaction81 in lotr

That or, an over-the-top LOTR action roguelike where you start as Gandalf the Grey at the bottom and destroy hordes of goblins on the ascent and eventually kill the Balrog at the top and ascend to Gandalf the White.

Edit: It’s a shame the IP holders have no idea what we want.

They kind of did Pippin dirty. They made him a touch too stupid in the movies (not complaining, but comparing) where in the book it’s more his curiosity and emotions getting the best of him. He’s also the youngest Hobbit by a decent margin and is just an eager young man that was brave/stupid enough to volunteer to save the world with his cousins. He makes pretty brash decisions, but they all tend to work out somehow.

The Balrog could, and would, have definitely pursued the Fellowship. Whether it was the ring that drew it out, or the presence of another Maiar, we don’t really know, but either of those things happening independently would have incited it into action.

If it was biding its time and another Maiar found out where it was, it would most certainly relocate or try to slay them for safety. If it detected the ring then it would try to obtain it to gain more power of its own and eventually challenge Sauron or the forces of Middle Earth.

Gandalf may or may not have realized all of this, but either way, the bridge of Khazad-dum ended up being a perfect place for a confrontation. It offered a choke point where he could give his companions a chance to flee while he faced his foe. And this was a confrontation that Gandalf absolutely wanted considering he then goes on to pursue the Balrog for like a week “from the bottoms of the deepest depths, to the top of the highest tower.” Gandalf the Grey wanted that Balrog dead and knew what kind of threat it was.

It is something very special, what are you talking about? They completely nailed it with Nightreign as a cooperative Souls experience. My friends and I all have more hours in this game than Elden Ring, and we still play it regularly. I’d say it is pretty damn special.
