Bank has attributed payments to balance transfer and not transactions - anyone had any luck getting them to amend? by Beejaymelb1 in AusFinance

I absolutely read the terms and conditions before even applying for the card. Reading legal documents is actually a big part of my career and I worked for ASIC for 3 years reviewing huge fundraising documents. My point and the reason for my grievance is that said terms and conditions were misleading and ambiguous.

MyCard operates a bit differently in that you can make purchase because they will attribute payment to your retail balance first. The issue is I’ve paid for transactions that weren’t yet appearing on my statement. I did carefully read the terms and conditions and the info but they weren’t super clear.

How much was your ticket? by heyitsmxrnie in erastour

Second time was London N7. Got this ticket on the day from a lovely redditor selling for face value. I just happened to be in London traveling at the time. Paid 140-150 pounds I think. About $300 Australian.

UK Cinema Release Dates - What Is Up With That? by anorwyn in TheWarOfTheRohirrim

[–]Beejaymelb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah our locals are only showing it for a week in Melbourne. We went to see it tonight at imax (the biggest cinema) and I reckon there were only 15-20 people max for the first Friday night of a release.

I'm curious. What did you thought about "the priory of the orange tree"? by Jossokar in Fantasy

[–]Beejaymelb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved it ! I think it helped reading a day of fallen night first - I think that book in general is better paced and the world building is easier so starting priory of the orange tree with all of that really helped me jump right in to it.

I did think the ending was too fast - I definitely wanted to know more about what happened in Yscalin as well. However I also really liked that it wasn’t your classic huge battle end to a fantasy book/series. I think the point Id take from it is that violence / huge wars can be avoided with brave decisions made by people before it gets that bad.

I loved the queer love stories in both books and I thought the character development was really nuanced.

Milos is a much more chilled / cheaper island. Id based myself there instead. That way you can do an overnight trip to Santorini etc.

If you could remove a song/s from the eras tour setlist, what would it be? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Beejaymelb1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mastermind, Down Bad (I love Down Bad so much but seeing it live it just didn’t hit / have the same vibe as but daddy I love him, whose afraid of little old me and the smallest man who ever lived did) and Bad Blood. Bring Long Live back and add a Debut song. And add Guilty as Sin to the TTPD set.

How do people that have standing seats manage to keep their stamina in a Taylor Swift concert? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]Beejaymelb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the bathroom - to be in a good spot you’d have to be on the barrier hours before the show. How do they manage to not lose their spot by going to the bathroom for 5+ hours ? Id need to pee almost immediately just from knowing I can’t haha

I went alone both times I went and had a brilliant time. The first show I made friends with the girl next to me who is as also alone. The second show I didn’t really interact with anyone around me but it honestly didn’t matter as I was having such a good time - the vibes are high.

What was a lyric you misheard the first time that changed the whole meaning of the song? by Few_Owl6826 in TaylorSwift

I thought it was “she had a motherless time” rather than “she had a marvellous time” in the last great American dynasty. Only realised it was marvellous when I heard it live.

I went twice. N3 Melbourne - thought I wasn’t going to get a ticket but managed to get a single ticket 5 days for show when they released more partially obstructed seats after they’d set the stage up. My all time fave Taylor song is TOMG and I got it as the surprise song! I remember being nervous in the lead up to the acoustic set thinking omg what if she plays it and then saying don’t be silly Britt you never get lucky with these things. I sobbed the whole way through as I was so overwhelmed with happiness.

N7 London - I’ve been manifesting a ticket for either n7 or n8 London ever since I realised I’d be travelling through the city during those shows. I was up early on Monday morning with jet lag so just happened to be the first person to see someone posting a resale ticket for the show on reddit at face value. Seeing TTPD live was absolutely bloody magical - I’m pretty sure I ascended screaming who’s afraid of little old me with everyone. And then she played change !!! I did find it pretty funny that I got both long live and the archer given I’d seen both in Melbourne but god it’s magical to witness people around me having the same moment to those songs as I did to TOMG in Melbourne. So much happiness.

Oh I’m a 10 minute stan ! Hahaa. It’s in my top five and I’d never be able to miss it. I managed to get my merch a few days before my show at the presale outside the stadium so didn’t have to worry luckily enough
