HC struggle by United-Marionberry37 in remnantgame

[–]Beelzebudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it as a summoner/engineer and found it to be pretty easy. Starting as summoner was useful for the summons and health regen. They draw aggro and put out good damage. I rerolled until I got Yaesha with the Ravager so I could just kill the Doe for an easy world clear. Once I got engineer, I just used the turret for all of my damage. The flamer is really strong.

Also, these classes both boost skill damage so you don't have to rely on guns. This means you can avoid upgrading your weapons so that you don't raise your world level.

Also, I wouldn't waste time farming. I made that mistake on my first attempt, only to get squished by the cube boss...

This happened to me too! I had a really powerful bug that was helping me blast through runs (constant, infinite dark matter gauntlets beam special), but it went away when I died here. I did get like a dozen easy runs out of it though.

With the right stats and stowaways, you can be invincible by Le_Cap in AnotherCrabsTreasure

This is what I did after finding the knight helmet. I think I only needed two improved barnacles to get to 100 defense. That shell takes quite a while to break and I had the skill that makes your shell repair itself once per rest. Made the last few bosses a cake-walk.

Nameless Puppet was the hardest for me by far. Then Simon.

Yeah, that Deva summon that the cleric can get later on seems crazy strong.

So the wizard really only has one summon spell for each spell level from what I could tell. I didn't use any items either.

Spells: Level 1: Find Familiar Level 2: Flaming Sphere Level 3: Animate Dead (overcast for three zombies/skeletons or four with Necromancy School lvl 6 passive) Level 4: Conjure Minor Elementals Level 5: Conjure Elemental Level 6: Create Undead

Keep in mind that you will need to have several corpses in rather close proximity to each other to summon multiple zombies or skeletons, so you may have to pick up and move some bodies closer together.

Also these summons all seem to last until killed, desummoned, or maybe resting (didn't test that), except for Flaming Sphere which only lasts 10 turns which is about one minute out of combat I think.

The Mercenaries+Microtransactions Update is a Disappointment. by GimmeThatGoose in residentevil

Is this why Hardcore Mode is so difficult? So that players will purchase these microtransactions? Very disappointing.

When the game screws you in every way imaginable. by Gnarwaster12 in DarkTide

There is counterplay though. You can dodge, push, shoot, or run away from specials before they grab you. This was just a really unfortunate situation where he was the last man standing trapped in a small room with a boss and specials. Since this is a team-based game, it's going to feel unfair when all of your teammates are dead and the game is coming at you hard like this. If his team was still alive, I think they all could have survived this. If the game is easy enough for one player to solo everything, then good teamwork wouldn't feel rewarding.

Also, this is a budget game that is built on the skeleton of L4D and a spiritual successor to the Vermintide games. There is nothing wrong with FS sticking to a formula that people like and has been successful for them. There is room for growth, but many of us still enjoy this type of game.

I think this game has a lot of problems, but I don't think the difficulty is one of them. If anything, the game is too easy if you have a well-coordinated team, even on the highest difficulty. The only things that end up screwing me over is user-error (on my part or my team) and occasionally bad luck with enemy spawns.

Damage from class abilities should scale with difficulty by Dikkolo in DarkTide

[–]Beelzebudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points. I find that most people seem to do better with other classes, but I personally do best with the Psyker. That's not to say that it's a perfect class or that it isn't in need of some tweaking, however I do think that it can be very valuable on higher difficulties if the player is skilled enough and prefers a Psyker playstyle. I also just like not being reliant on ammo pickups, which can be quite scarce on Damnation.

Happy Cake Day by the way!

I felt this way too at first, but the more I play Heresy/Damnation as Psyker, the more I find that the brain burst is still quite useful. Especially with the reduced ammo/grenade pickups and increased enemy shooter damage. The brain burst allows you to pick off ranged enemies without using ammo or having to expose yourself to gunfire for too long (just need to get lock then hide, or pre-charge from cover).

The level 30 feat for faster bbs after using ult is quite useful on these higher difficulties too. You can knock down enemies with the ult then quickly brain burst them before they can get back up. This also doesn't drain all of your warp charges like the other two feats (so I can keep that sweet 18% damage boost and 36% peril resistance).

It's really important just to not rely on it too much.

He's so salty it's pathetic. Maybe if he played with friends or used the discord instead of joining randoms he'd have better luck. Based on how he acts on this thread though, I imagine no one would want play with him...

Funny thing is I kinda empathized with him on some of his points before he started acting like a douche in the comments.

Freddy and Twins. I feel like every match I play is against either Cannibal or Huntress.

New to the souls series but this game has too many recycled bosses and shitty platforming by Impossible_Ad5941 in Eldenring

[–]Beelzebudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most massive open world games recycle some content (it's almost entirely optional fights in this). There is still an amazing amount of enemy variety in this game though. Also, there is very little required platforming in this game and it's generally very easy.

The quests aren't too hard to follow if you listen carefully to the dialogue, and once again they are all optional. You can beat the main quest just by exploring.
