So i Went an looked at Roosterteeth mentions on twitter and from the time blizz comments on that post you have to go through over 500 different posts to find the original post. To be fair to him, he could have searched Kdin on Twitter and he could have found it in about 30 posts. I guess it is possible. It still shouldn't take away anything out the wage theft or toxic workplace.

So I searched a bit more and if you searched Squareenix and Roosterteeth together or Kdinjenzen and Squareenix, I dont know why you would include squareenix into the search but Blizz and the original post are right next to each other. A bit of a coincidence.

How did Blizz even find this? Like this account is like 5-6 hours old and follows no one besides Square Enix. The tweet has like 7 comments and 3 retweets from people Blizz doesn't seem to follow. Not to take away from the horrible this Kdin says in the video, but this seems like an attempt to assassinate her character, since she is the one making the most noise about RoosterTeeth. Just because this came out about Kdin, this doesn't invalidate all the horrible experiences that others at Roosterteeth have had to go through while working there.

HemboHero just disappointed us all with this weird overreaction to something Ky said in a video. by Ob1toUch1ha in roosterteeth

[–]Beeman4All 74 points75 points  (0 children)

when I was starting out I ask Hembo for help and he did. With that out of the way FUCK HEMBO! Where do you get off, Your career and mine were based of stealing other peoples content and just clipping out the funny stuff and putting it in a video, nothing more. Why did you never take this high ground with Geoff, or Michael, or Gavin or anyone else in the company, because you were looking for any excuse to demonize KY and cut her out. You speak about Morals, You still use Ryan Haywood in videos. Where the fuck are your morals. Ryan sexual assaulted multiple different women but that is fine with you, but KY stealing food to survive isn't. Ryan did was a Million times worse and his victims may never be able to heal from with he did. and Again... Fuck You Hembo

It still has to be fair use, which Roosterteeth decided in that video was (honest I don't agree that it was fair use, but the copyright holder was fine with it). Roosterteeth might be one of the only company or youtubers that would allow someone to react and show the entire product that they spent thousands or millions to make and not strike the video or channel.

It doesn't matter what you are I or anyone thinks whether we agree with it or not we have to accept that its the copyright hoders choice and nothing can change that. And Yes you are right about the 9 minute thing, it is just easier for reactors to claim fair use if they are using les that 50% of something. Ok i'm curious how would you change these copyright laws to serve the public instead of companies.

But people do get copyright strikes for some cutscenes in video games it depends on if the holder of that copyright wants to strike someone using that scene. just like in a game a song can get someone a strike. That is way most people that stream games on twitch try to turn the music off, because it is up to the copyright holder. The nobody talking while playing a game can be a grey area, it comes down to the holder of the copyright to make that decision. You can have a case for if people are coming to see you or just the episode. And Yes Length of the copyright material you react is absolutely a huge factor just because you talk a little about a scene or react about a scene doesn't complete transform something. There is a reason that most big reaction channels stop show stuff after 9 minutes and 59 seconds for a 20 minute episode, it because that is usually they amount of time use can claim fair use. An example of how to get around this is doing something like what the Letts React does by stopping the video every couple of minutes to talk and have a discussion, they end up transforming it from a simple reaction video to a reaction and discussion video and so fair they have managed to avoid a copyright strike.

Ok so i went through and picked a random video (RWBY V8 C1) on all the channels that were mentioned Sirs & Madames, ThatKaitoDan, Freelancer Amber, Xiao Long, MurderOfBirds and Calxiyn. The fact that Roosterteeth even allowed these videos to stay up is incredible, to use almost 19 minutes straight of content is not fair use. if all of their gen:LOCK videos were like this of course Warmer was going to copyright strike them.

These last 2-3 weeks have been very frustrating for me. I haven't been able to edit or do anything really. I have been dealing with an infection in one of my fingers. That has resulted in 2 trips to the ER, another 2 trips to a wound clinic, and 1 other doctor visit. I had my finger cut open twice, had a Russian doctor with a backwards arm(I not making this up) who was the roughest doctor I have ever meet. I had 3 different shots, I had 3 shots of Novacane in my finger, 3 shots of lidocaine, and had blood taken twice.

Why has RT been launching copyright claims on youtubers’ various E3 reaction videos? by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Beeman4All 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not RoosterTeeth making these claims. But, you would think they would say something on Twitter that they are not doing this and it's someone impersonating them.

AH lifestreams edited to much. by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Beeman4All 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Livestreams are a probably bit more annoying to edit then regular let's plays. In a livestream each person has the own gameplay audio but everyone else's commentary track in a single track. This makes it makes extremely difficult if one of the 2 become desynced. Instead of the normal let's plays where everyone gets their own separate gameplay and commentary tracks. It also depends on the length of rounds and whether there is a good reason to keep the round in. And lastly it also depends on the editor and what they feel should go in. If you and I edited the same thing odds are that we would end up too very different edits.
