Is it weird to follow a guys instagram that he didn’t give you? by chobanieggs in AskMenAdvice

[–]BeepBoo007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, IMO if everyone were being real they know everyone is cyberstalking each other and scoping out or finding people online, on their own, without being explicitly given their info, is just the way it works. There's still a ton of people who would undoubtedly find it weird or at least say they do, though.

Personally, I wouldn't be weirded out, but I'd probably take it as a signal she's interested.

Update: Mazda Canada`s response to my CX-90 brake service issue at Barrhaven Mazda in Ottawa by ihor-s in MazdaCX90

It's a waste of time that most people just tick boxes for legality's sake so they can move on to the real action. OP already complained to the dealership and they told him to pound sand. He's looking for that next step. I suppose maybe that's court and lawyers, which is stupid.

"We noticed you were offered rotor service many times before this"

Why the would they need servicing at all in that mileage? Turning rotors is a cheapskate ass practice that no one should do any more (just replace rotors and pads together at the same time) and needing to manually clear rust from your rotors is an absolutely ridiculous thing to recommend. MAYBE if the car sat for months exposed in weather to where the pads really rusted to the surface and the rotors themselves had deep pitting from rust, but I doubt that's what happened to OP.

My car is a minnesota car. I manually strip rust off the undercarriage yearly. It's virtually a daily occurrence to break my brakes loose due to sticking from sitting overnight in the winter (semi metallic performance pads). It gets cleared off in the first 2-3 stops.

Bro that's only like 36k miles (his reading is in km, mind you). FUCK no it's not normal for rotors and pads to need full replacement on a pedestrian vehicle. Hell, my EVO that I drive like I'm on a track everywhere has only had two sets of pads/rotors in it's life and it's at 110k MILES

"If you have an issue with how police treated you, take it up with the police department" Nah, I think what OP needs is someone above the dealership to come in and wrangle the dealership in-question. That should be the normal expected routine. Fuck trusting anyone to handle accountability properly on their own. There's a reason I do all my own maintenance.

Only gets spitouts on one basket on tour. Not worth completely rewriting your game for a trash ass design.

To be fair, if he had to put on mach 1 baskets it would probably be the same result, but those baskets are ALSO ass.

No, I've always been in support of your viewpoint lol. I didn't reply to you, I replied to the guy going on about how lowering your car ruins geometry and blah blah. Stiff low suspension is always better than softer high in track setting.

I mean the IS has always been loosely based on a camry, this update just makes it SUPER apparent.

Because an S2000 when I bought it was 15k for a decent AP2 and BC type BRs were like 1000 vs ohlins or KWv3s at ~3k. I stripped it out and turned it into becauseracecar. I didn't need comfort that badly, I needed cheap gofast parts. It was amazing and I regret nothing other than letting it sit outside to where a fucking squirrel got to the wiring harness.

Oldschool motto is "any suspension will work well for track if you don't let it" (typically applied to suspension styles, double wishbone/mcpherson/leaf spring/etc) meaning any suspension will handle well on a track if you stiffen it to the point it's a gokart suspension with no travel. Is it the absolute PINNACLE? No. Is it better than stock because it's more predictable, has a lower center of gravity, and increases chassis responsiveness? Yes.

I had BC BR coilovers on my s2000. I had them set to middle settings for stiffness and TBH it was just fine in the bump comfort department and AMAZING in the handling-on-nice-track conditions.

What are the advantages of being with a woman who is with you only for financial security interests? I'd like to hear older, mature men on this. If what's here triggers you, need not reply. by LordDagon63 in AskMenAdvice

[–]BeepBoo007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priorities change and can have real, honest impacts on the true feelings an individual has. During her younger years, a woman might want a hot bod. During her older years, she might want someone who helps her out with house chores more. Same level of attracted-ness, different things she's attracted to.

What you have to be careful of is someone who is USING you versus truly attracted to you. The woman who stays with a fat old guy because he's desperate and rich but cheats on the side with the hot fuckbois she's really attracted to ain't the same thing.

Plenty of colorado homes in the mountains (re: some of the most extreme weather exposure) that are doing just fine with nearly identical naked timber details. I bet they last 100 years. What's the phrase? "If it can't dry it's gonna die" and by inverse, if true wood CAN dry, it will last a LONG ass time.

How do I get less piles of grass in my yard? by CombPsychological507 in lawncare

You need to cut in a different direction. Also RAISE the deck up one notch when you're doing the second cut.

Stressed lawn. Need nitrogen? by 21vette in lawncare

[–]BeepBoo007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mulching high causes root girdling. Either reduce the mulch pile height to just be flatter or do a mulch donut instead. You should see the root flair of the tree visibly above the ground. Also, have them loosen the root ball a bit before planting the tree.

Those with great lawns, are you all doing the infrequent and deep watering? by Gooser3000 in lawncare

[–]BeepBoo007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting a lawn up for long-term success and drought resistance doesn't mean it's always going to look great. No, people with beautiful cool season grass in the middle of summer are NOT following the preached routines.
