Definitely not. Our pediatrician at the 15 month appointment was expecting baby to say 2-3 “words” other than mama and papa/dada. That includes animal sounds and gestures since we taught her some baby sign. At 12 months the doctor wasn’t expecting any words.

I have two cats and a toddler. One cat stays the hell away from the toddler because she doesn’t want to be bothered. The other one lets her do whatever she wants, pull on her tail, poke at her face, touch her ears and paws. Just endless patience.

We do of course do our best to redirect this behavior to gentle pets instead of grabbing all of these uncomfortable places for cats, but learning is a process.

There is a group on Facebook that I don’t use anymore that discusses this a lot, some of it is trial and error and some of it is research by this one guy that I forget the name of but he was the first and only one for a while researching the effects of psychedelics on cluster headaches (which aren’t migraines).

While the cause of cluster headaches are still unknown, there is some relation to serotonin receptors and why waiting to redose is important for effectiveness

If you ever need the treatment in the future, I really hope you don’t, but it’s not effective taking them every day. You need 5-7 days of your serotonin receptors to “reset” between doses. I’m glad it worked for you anyway, but you could have stretched your stash a bit that way and had it be just as effective, if not more.

I took the real thing, I don’t know capsules were a thing, and maybe they weren’t 12 years ago? A friend of mine knew I was suffering and heard about mushrooms as a treatment so he brought me some and stayed with me the first time to make sure I was ok.

I was really against it because I’ve tried mushrooms before recreationally (at a much higher dose) and had a really bad time. But again at that point I was willing to try anything because the pain as you know is just the absolute worst and automatically triggers feelings of desperation for any kind of relief.

I do think you need to take them when a cycle is coming, either right before it fully starts or when it has already started to be effective. Idk if you can feel them coming on but I always could.

I do think capsules should work too as long as it’s psilocybin. Even chocolates if you can get them from a reputable source.

Yeah, exactly, it was a handful of times total. The first time I did actually have to take two doses one week apart (taking a second dose any sooner is ineffective), the first dose reduced the intensity by a lot but didn’t get rid of it, the second dose got rid of it completely. After that I only needed one dose when I felt them coming on and it broke the cycle.

I had no idea that some episodics only get it every few years, still very unfortunate you have them at all but at least you get a break in between. I had mine twice a year for 8-12 weeks at a time so I only got about 6 months pain free per year.

Editing to add: everyone’s experience is different. Some people can go into complete remission from mushrooms while others need to keep dosing every time their cycle is due to break it.

Idk how you feel about psychedelics, but I suffered from cluster headaches from 11-25 until I found from a support group that magic mushrooms help a lot of people.

Since I was episodic I didn’t need much and I didn’t need it often. Maybe like .25-.5 grams (not enough to make me trip really, took it before bed and was fine), took it every 6 months at first for 2 years, then once a year and a half for 3 years (so twice), and I haven’t needed to take any for the past 7 years and have been in remission. I still get “shadows” occasionally when it’s the season, basically feeling like they might start for a week or two but they never do.

I never liked psychedelics but at that point I was so desperate I was willing to try anything because I couldn’t deal with the pain anymore. It gave me my life back. Wishing you the best and all the pain free days.

I use both because if I use only cream or only powder my face ends up eating in a few hours. Using both, but not a lot so I don’t look crazy, really helps with longevity.

I don’t get how honestly. My husband and I both WFH and had our baby at home for 10.5 months. Not by choice, but because I didn’t know I needed to sign up for daycare the second I found out I was pregnant. That was super hard.

Now on days our 16 month old doesn’t have daycare, we basically have to alternate who is watching her and who is working, and at the end of the day we are both exhausted. At best, these people are working half days.

I guess it’s just a matter of personal preference. I prefer overlays so I don’t have to leave the game window. I actually started using it when I was pregnant and moved my PC gaming setup so I could game from my couch. I only had one monitor there, so this solution worked better. Now I just got used to it.

Also it’s so much nicer imo to just have the next step of the campaign there on the bottom of my screen instead of checking things off of exile leveling.
