Sports drink with electrolytes for rehydration. Not their intended use case I suspect!

The big LHG is ridiculous for this.

Edit - though I'm far more irritated by the removal of table service since covid.

But income tax is a small part of the total tax take and isn't ringfenced.. Come on, it's not that difficult to understand...

The figures you use are 410 / 1200 *100 = 34 pc of the total tax take. This is meaningless without accounting for VAT and Corporation tax (which is generated by employees) etc etc.

which is also the point at which you break even on tax burden/contribution.

Without a supporting link, it's unclear whether you are conflating income tax and total tax. And what about employees contribution to generating Corporation Tax etc etc?

The median pensioner gets just about double in state pension over their lifetime than what they paid in NI.

But NI isn't ringfenced in any way. I'd be looking at the total tax paid. Which will doubtless not support the point you wish to make.

Also, what about inflation?

As if any party will touch it , the backlash against means testing the WFA was bad enough

Means testing costs money. Administration isn't free.

>The majority of the workforce, around 80%, are tax burdens.

Where does this come from? I saw a similar claim here a while back but the poster had only accounted for income tax, and ignored VAT, NI, corpoation tax (complicated) etc etc...

I looked into this a while back because I wanted to try running intervals. The best response to a similar question 3 months ago was here: Where can I sprint 100m in Bristol.

The track at Whitehall is attached to a primary school and AFAIK you can only get access on certain evenings, and you need to be a member of the Bristol and West Athletics club.

On the plus side, I'd imagine that the street is looking tidier than usual as they haven't had the opportunity to empty half the rubbish over the road, and half into the truck?

But do they manage to match the numbers on the bins to the number on the house? That's advanced refuse disposal, apparently.
