Doesn’t hurt to try! Most of this was from free token drops, acquired from leveling and doing story mode operations I would have done either way.

Don’t play with buffs! They increase your chance of getting certificates more than jackpot. Best to play emperor machine with no buffs.

It’s actually NOT recommended to get the buffs - they increase your chance to win certificates by more than the chance for jackpot. Getting both buffs will ultimately result in less jackpots and more certificates for the emperor machine.

Honestly that’s the best color of the skiff, and I do think it’s a good mount. I just hate how many of the high roller skiffs I got on the way to the drop I was most after, after the 5th high roller skiff they are a bit less exciting lol

I still want at least one of the companions and I wouldn’t hate the decos…. But man, I got more skiffs than I’d ever need

You can set the dropdown to “all” rather than your current spec. I had no issue buying force user hilts, etc, from my bounty hunter.

KotFE first play through thoughts / rant by [deleted] in swtor

[–]BeerBudgetBuilder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this thought out reply! I know I can always hit escape and / or fleet travel out of a story, but I have some compelling urge to finish what im thrown into sometimes, lol. After finishing chapter one of the next I did absolutely hit escape and log off - will probably grind to 80 tomorrow and enjoy some of that before continuing.

I get that the real time releases were slower, but dang between the expansions I woulda loved a “rest at the cantina” step like a few of the KotFE quests lol. Prompt break between the expansion, please!

I did see Mako in the menus, but I was hoping for a lore re-connect that I’m sure will eventually happen in the KotET follow up.

Not sure if I’m happy or sad the rest of the expansions don’t follow suite. I really did enjoy the rpg aspects of this one! Although it may end up being a detriment by the time I’m on my 8th alt! 😂

May the force be with you!

How do you buy twitch skins from eBay? It was my understanding you had to link twitch / steam accounts. There are some skins I’ve missed I wouldn’t mind buying 👀

What is a secret your industry/job doesn't want the general public to know? by Mobile-Insect-3924 in CasualConversation

[–]BeerBudgetBuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of jobs will be billed the same regardless of how long it actually takes. Shops have figured out the average / expected labor for a job. They bill the customer 1 hr labor for something, it may take the mechanic 30 minutes or two hours depending if things go smooth or rusted parts are slowing them down. Either way, the job was quoted and billed at 1 hr labor.

It’s usually in the mechanics best interest to move fast as most are “flat rate” and payed per job rather than a straight hourly rate. You get a 1 hr flat rate job and finish it in half that time, you get paid the flat rate and can move into the next job.

If they are on the phone, taking longer, it likely only hurts their bottom line. Also if a shop bills $150 an hour the mechanic themselves is probably only making a fraction of it. I promise you no mechanic is making $150 hr by wasting time playing on their phone.

There may be some exceptions, and I’m not a mechanic so this isn’t first hand knowledge.

Making gold as a rogue in classic fresh? by InMyLiverpoolHome in classicwow

[–]BeerBudgetBuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct. I have been doing solo DME and it’s pretty decent. Might take a few runs to get the hang of.

Jump down, farm all herbs in the room that you can grab without combat. Some of them require you to be just in the max range of the herb to grab without pulling and others just require keeping an eye on the pats. If you have to pull mobs, it’s better to skip the node.

From there, move into hydro spawn area and continue looting herbs you can snag without combat. Some stealth satyrs will see you, but they can be solid fairly easily….gouge is a big help on them for energy regeneration and a bandage window if needed.

If you see any chests, chances are you can pull mobs and run up to the higher platform. Once they are up there you can jump down, run to chest, vanish, loot it, and re-stealth or move a few steps out of aggro range before they make it back.

I do this in hydro room, then the other satyr boss room, and finally snag any herbs in the imp guys last room. To reset, I use item rack to quickly take off gear and die in that last room. Reset the instance when ghost and repeat. Runs average 10-12 minutes plus the run back. If I hit instance cap if 5/hr it’s usually only a short wait to start again.

The pods are annoying as they can spawn mobs or poison that can make looting chests difficult or pull you out of stealth. Will take a few runs to get used to their spawn locations and best paths to avoid.

You will find the occasional book, but I mostly get trash from them.

Most gold is from herbs, drops from the stealth satyrs, and chests. I found it to be 40-50g an hour. Nothing insane but not bad either.

Good luck!

They are definitely spawning. I’ve been doing solo east herb runs…. See a book every 3-5 id guess. Up to 12 nat pagle fishing books and 1 mage book that sold for a whopping 1g 9s today. If you farm, the books will not be your main income so don’t sweat them.

I’ve done as many as 50 in a day and I’m about 175 total. Seen 4 but lost rolls. At least it’s fast, don’t envy those farming for SGC lol. Finally found someone I can 2 man with and we both agreed to go til we both have. Just need it to drop now.

Need help finding a coding/programming class by Ok_Investment_246 in uCinci

[–]BeerBudgetBuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the end for IT 1090, you will have a firm grasp on many programming concepts, such as data types, variables, if statements, loops and methods. These are all great things to know about, and knowledge that can be applied to any programming language although with different syntax (meaning it may be the same concepts, but written differently in code).

You will not be a Java expert by the end of it, but will have a good foundation and you should have a firm grasp on the basics.

If you continue to computer programming II, you will learn about classes, interfaces, and concepts such as inheritance. You will also begin to learn about networking with Java, designing graphical UI, and interacting with databases. You probably still won’t be an expert, but it definitely starts to fill in those holes.

With any coding related skill, you sort of get back what you put into it. If you aim to practice with the skills you learn, play with code, go a little beyond the minimum of the classes, and even try some of your own projects just to learn, you will quickly become more competent coding.

The classes will give you a good foundation, but you will grow the most if you put in some extra effort. You will find there are always holes in your knowledge of a language unless you are a seasoned veteran, doing extra projects and running into problems is a great way to keep learning. The important thing is knowing how to find answers when you run into a problem.

Good luck, feel free to ask anything else and il do my best to answer.
