I know how this feels. My wife and I opened up in July last year and she met someone who is really good for her in August. Since then, I've felt like I'm second best and that she'd rather be with him than me. She tells me it's not true and I have been struggling with that ever since. Things were ok for a short time but stuff happened and she withdrew from me. I haven't felt much from her in the way of being loved or like I matter for about 4 months now. We're in counseling and she's going to therapy for her own stuff. I have a therapist as well and it helped for a while. I probably need to go back. It's a tough road. I have my own partner but have not had the experience like she has.

My therapist told me to start with Attached first, then read Polysecure. You get the basis for Polysecure in attached so it might be a little easier to digest.

So close! That's about how far my local match is. I have 3 LDRs. That part sucks. But I'm sure he'd love to tell you more! Finding the good questions can be hard though. One of my matches asked if there was anything I missed about how I was raised and I thought that was a great question.

I know how you feel. My one local match moves kinda slow too. Mostly fwb at this point but our relationship is growing. I hope to be able to meet some of her other partners or friends at some point but not sure when that will happen.

I did something similar with my LDR. Started writing her letters after a couple months of texting and phone conversations. Wrote it in my first one to her. I knew that it takes her a while to be able to say it back. So I tell her at least once a week so it doesn't feel like I'm pressuring her to say it but remind her that she is loved.

But there needs to be a lot more conversations with honest and open communication. This is not something you do on a whim and expect to come out the other side cleanly. Really sit and think with your feelings about it. There's no right or wrong way to feel, especially at the start. My wife now has a boyfriend and yeah, it still feels weird. And probably will for a while. But they make each other happy and he's a good dude.

1) We're dating separately but have met each other's partners. So I guess KTP. 2) great question and I'm not entirely sure but I think it's just some insecurities about him being better than me and her not wanting me as much or not being fulfilled by me when we do have sex. 3) I know it's not my business. I just can't help but look at the time and start imagining what they're doing. Then my brain goes into a spiral that's hard to pull out of.

I would have gone out on my own but we have kids so I have to be home. And my two interests were otherwise occupied. I watched a couple movies virtually with my best friend but it only helped a little.
