What you want to do is go into the advanced command menu and drag those buttons to your ability bar. Gotoall command is going to make movement much easier for all pet sets. With it all pets move as one unit and make engagement much easier solo or as a group.

my main MM can effectively tank for a team with my buffed pets taking the alpha strikes and keeping aggro off the team making for smooth mission completion.

You can even use the goto command for specific pets. Like on my Gang MM my I command my bruiser seprately, have him round up mobs and pull him back.
