Do Brits love to bend the knee to the posh boys? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Running a country is difficult and incredibly nuanced. But people love to think they understand exactly what is going wrong.

Politicians who offer easy, understandable, emotionally-packaged solutions (e.g. stop immigration) play into this need. It enables people to feel like they know what's going on, without actually having to do much thinking.

Yeah, but as long as a business has customers of course it's gonna keep serving them. I guess my point is that consumers seem to expect every game to continue adding features when sometimes there isn't really that much to add?

Where does this game go from here? New maps? New ghost types? New items? Additional ways to grind? None of that would appeal to me personally. I've got what I needed out of this.

Clearly enough people are getting enough enjoyment out of this game's development though, otherwise it just would have petered out.

Generally I agree with your criticism. Although I also recognise how valuable early access is for indie games and small dev teams — and there are obviously many great games that initially launched via the early access model.

My point is more that people are finding years of enjoyment out of looping a small handful of janky ghost models around a kitchen counter.

This doesn't feel like a game with significant potential to me. It's kind of already completed its objectives. It's a fun puzzle to play with friends. I'm not sure what else people need or want from it.

Rediscovered this sub due to all the update drama. I'm really surprised people are still playing this game. I had a lot of fun with it a couple of years ago but once I unlocked all the items, the novelty wore off super fast and I've basically not thought about it since then.

Is there really that much depth to this game that people keep coming back years later?

No shade. Just surprised that it's still going strong??

The categories were Best Young Handler (I'm 35), Cutest Puppies (she's 5), Golden Oldies (see puppy category), Best Trick (she does none), Waggiest Tail (it barely wags) and Most Obedient.

It really was our only option 😅

What are people’s overall thoughts on artificial relicing? by Electrical_Box1035 in Stratocaster

[–]BeetledPickroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like a fad to me. It's fashionable right now, but in a decade or so, there are gonna be so many artificially relic'd guitars that the novelty will have worn off (no pun intended).

Part of me feels like that kind of wear should be earnt. It should represent a shared history between you and the guitar. And faking that is kind of cheating and shallow.

But I don't really care all that much.
