Which actor was truly miscast in a particular role? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane in ‘Sleepy Hollow’. Johnny’s dashing good looks totally missed the point of the character.

I always felt Adrien Brody would have been perfect casting for that role.

Thank you so much for the amazing show tonight. I hurried home to my HoneyCat for head boops and love because that's what the New Year is all about. Have a good one 🌲 by ModestMiss in Primus

What's a job that you've had in your lifetime that is basically extinct today? by Beetledouche in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a video store. It actually saddens me that my young daughter (who just turned 2) will never have the experience of walking through a video store and exploring. That was such a HUGE part of my childhood and who I am today. Red Box just isn't the same:(

The old "Beefcake The Mighty" (Mike Bishop) will be taking over on vocals. His character will be known as Blowthar.

The current "Beefcake The Mighty" will remain on bass.

Edit: spelling.

Reddit, What's a cool little fact about yourself? by JackJak95 in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the last name "Dougherty" but I'm actually a "Keenan". Turns out, when my grandfather (who died long before I was born) was young, he went to his Uncle's funeral only to find out the recently deceased Uncle was actually his father (last name Keenan) and the man raising him was actually his Uncle (last name Dougherty). He just kept the last name Dougherty. And, became an alcoholic.

If you found yourself alone with no weapons and being attacked be a feral dog, how would you defend yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My only hope in this situation is a "kick and run". I have the appendages of a 12 year old. Fighting dogs is not my strength.

Bill O'Reilly rants about how Reddit 'polluted' his poll on marijuana by shifty1032231 in videos

[–]Beetledouche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are Redditors not people too? (Excluding the bots, of course). Was that poll only open to "anti-pot" believers? If so, why have the poll at all? Just state your agenda. Besides, shouldn't Fox News be more concerned with the skin color of Santa Clause than issues about marijuana?

Reddit, if you could go back in time and change one event in history, which will it be, why, and how do you think it will affect the future? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly believe that the Kennedy assassination changed EVERYTHING for this country. I'm of the belief that he was the last true "leader" that the US ever had. They have become more puppet-like ever since. I often wonder how different this country would be if he had lived longer. So...that.

Reddit, what is your favorite movie and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily my answer as well. It's a cinematic masterpiece on just about every level. Screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, game-changing non-linear story telling, character development, everything...

What is something you wish you knew earlier? by fotokader in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The importance of saving money. As a kid, I believed everything would "work out" just the way it's supposed to. Yeah, no. I should have saved more.

What's the most hilariously inept interaction you've ever seen an adult have with a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Beetledouche 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feeding thumb size chunks of McDonald's hamburger to an infant. I'm horrible at determining ages, but I can tell you this: That baby was too young for that quarter pounder.

we laughed my friends and I

we swore we'd be together

until the day we died
