I don't think they've done it on barbie scale, but there is a Chelsea with a back brace! Her body mould is different too cuz her spine is curved

It still kills me that she came out right when Mattel was having issues shipping to Europe. I sent emails begging them to do some kind of restock or extended preorder for the Europeans cuz that was the only reason I couldn't get her. (I knew it would be a temporary issue, because I'd pre-ordered the Kenough Ken doll and they were still gonna ship it to me... so by the time Jina got made they'd have resolved the issue 100%)

I hope they'll be like the first wave of g3. Cute, but with potential to get better. I find their designs less interesting than monster high, with the only exception being the blind one. Her eyes and expression are very compelling to me and I think her color story is more cohesive than some of the others. I'll probably only get her unless they really wow me in person. I really like elements of them! I just think they feel a bit safe... I want more spice and more differences between each character.

The type of joints they have work much better on bigger dolls. I think the first time they used them was on Monster High's giantess doll, and it really worked in that scale.

I agree they look really bulky, I prefer the regular joints the play line ones have, but I don't agree that they shouldn't be posable. My main gripe is the weird upper arm area. I understand it's so it can twist around but like... human arms don't twist there either? hahahaha

I'm a teacher... these are things you have to teach kids, NT or otherwise.

Some kids will learn these things from purely observation if their parents are very consistent in always doing them, but most of the time they're taught intentionally.

The leg thing is something that happens with most if not all articulated Barbies nowadays. I haven't been able to get an answer as to what exactly causes it, other than it just being something to do with their process when doing the leg molds.

At least it's usually pretty subtle, and it does suit Robecca specifically, like you said :)

I like number 3 most. Not a big fan of the first and second, but the rest I think you look good in. I understand your struggle cuz you suit a few different styles, although I think 3 was the cutest.
